	His father was John. and mother was Ann/ Hannah. The marriage and baptism are posted on previous page :-)

Charles Elks......the son of William and Ann Cotton, was born 1854 ELKS, CHARLES COTTON GRO Reference: 1854 J Quarter in BURTON UPON TRENT Volume 06B Page 297 On the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census......it states that Charles, the father of William Mark Elks, was born in Portobello. 	Well, it looks good Chris but......i can't spot a Charles Elks with parents Mark and Caroline. I can't spot a marriage for a Mark Elks to a Caroline either.
