It just says they were going to New York, no further information



BUT note that the date of arrival was 1916 ....................


so I am not sure where Mary got the information that Beatrice and Ruby went in 1913 . :-S



If my memory of how the US system works is accurate .................

Beatrice became an American citizen as soon as she married Frederick, and Ruby would have had American citizenship as soon as she was born ......... neither would have needed to take any oaths

I do note that Frederick was a lot older than Beatrice ......... 21 years ................



is there any possibility that he could have been married before?

Thankyou all for this information. I would not have been able to get this far with Frederick if it wasnt for everyones help.

I wondered if Frederick was married before because of the big age gap between him and Beatrice. In my old notes that my sister gave me she had him married to a Mary Cordelia Burt. She doesnt remember where she got her name from though. I couldnt seem to find her name pop up any where so have no information on her at all.

The birth date for Mary Cordelia Burt and the marriage date is what my sister gave me. Forgive me if Im wrong but this does show that Frederick was married before he married Beatrice. Also had a daughter with Mary. Does it also mean that Frederick was married to a Mary Pitts Jennings. Then Mary married Joseph Badcock. Ive never understood why there can be a few names with the same page and volume numbers.

If 'your' Frederick went to USA before 1901 and stayed therepast 1911 the above, married to Mary, cannot be the same one.
