OK I think we can rule out the Tettenhall Charles as he had children late 80's early 90's with Ellen (from the 1887 marriage).

So now need to try and find Charles in 1901

Charles Jesse Hodgkinson who died in 1907 left his monies to Widow Clara Ellen Hodgkinson....... I don't think that is the right death for this Charles?? :-D

In the 1911 census for Margaret (widowed) she has completed the married/children bit and then it is crossed out. Years completed for marriage are 3 which suggests that he died in 1902

There are only 3 Charles Hodgkinsons born 1866 +/- 2 years on the 1881. There are only two on the 1891.

It seems likely it is Chorley Charles and as Mary Alice was born in USA in 1890, Charles in 1892 and Minnie in 1897 that he emigrated somethime after 1881 and sometime before 1890

He seems to go from a specialised trade of frame maker to labourer though?

Can't find an emigration though

ok lol im losing the plot here i cant seem to find her in 1911 either :-D

I have tried searching without surname in 1911 in case she was adopted/taken in by a family and took their name but to no avail.

Even wondered if she might have gone back to America but not finding her

Marriage of Hoskinson looks a possibility but it is coming up as Hoskinson but it IS Mary Alice
