Just a thought.................there seems to be an assumption that Ruth's cousin has been tracking the family when in fact all Ruth has said is that her cousin talked to her grandparents to get the info re Henry being born a Leek.
So a crucial question would seem to be - is the cousins info just based on family lore? If it is then the 1881 census that Christine posted would be a strong indication that Christopher Leek became Henry Radley? Hope that makes sense.

just looking at those two baptisms of Martha and Moses sons,

Herbert Henry died age 3, his brother John ( I think as he is not with Martha and Moses in 1881) age 15...

so that could be one reason they adopted 'Christopher' and renamed him Henry?

Which still doesn't help with your need to know medical history I'm afraid.

I was called away last night just after posting the 1881 details and I also wondered if Christopher Leek became Henry.

Do you have the death certs for Henry and Rosana as it would seem that this is the furthest you are going to get back.

Dear Ruth

I have just joined the site, and discovered we share a half sister - Stephanie Ann b 1954. I only knew her to 1958, when I was 9 or 10. In case it helps, I don't remember her having any health problems.

Regards
Denise (maiden name Greig)

Ruth, if you want to pursue the Christopher Leek avenue I've found a potential family. Not proveable but maybe worth exploring.
