It is a well known fact that the Sudanese are one one of the worst blasphemous Muslim countries going , yet here they are trying to act like the big tough religious no nonsense country. Well hows about responding by withdrawing all aid that we give them which runs into millions , withdraw all english personal and let them live by the Sharia law properly and see how they get on

I was disgusted at the outcome of this farce,
15 days in prison and deportation for "daring" to name a teddy bear after a pupil. So much for being a multi cultural world.

and then If we do withdraw our aid Innocents will suffer,I dont think thats an option personally.and I dont think the lady who is in Gaol would want that to happen either.

Saints Alive

Saints Alive Report 29 Nov 2007 19:13

Roxanne with all due respect this innocent lady could have had 40 lashs , is that not suffering , so we let one of our citizens suffer in Jail but thats alright cos we are British and we dont mind as long as the rest of the world do'snt suffer ,

I feel the Foreign Office have done a very good job of diffusing the whole sorry situation and Sudan has saved face by just 15 days and deportation. Who knows what the repercussions would have been if she had been publicly flogged.

And no I don't think she should have arrested for what was an innocent naming of a teddy bear. It wasn't meant as an insult, but it highlights the difference in thinking of Christian people and SOME Islamic people.

When in Rome.....!

It is a shame we don't do the same over here and deport all those from abroad who fail to comply with our laws.
