It one that sticks in my mind and still annoys me to this day. My dad had just died and I was still working and at lunch had to go and order the wreath for my dad and pay in a cheque for work. I went and ordered the wreath and forgot to pay in the cheque. As I realised this at work my boss jumped in and said angrily ' I bet you didn't forget to order the wreath' well no I Bl***y didn't. Heartless or what. |

It's a toss up between being told they couldn't find a heartbeat at a scan and being told by my brother that as far as he is concerned i am dead. That was nearly 4 years ago, and so far he is sticking to his word!! |

One of the hurtfull things was many years ago when I was about 10, my true father turned up on the door step and said to my mom, I've come to see the lads (my 2 brothers are older than me and my sister), I asked my mom after he had gone, if us girls had the same father...all 4 of us do, I have learnet since then that it was the wages they were bringing in that he wanted, he showed the same intrest in us girls when we were old enough to bring in money, but by then I didn't want to know him, is it any wonder?????? I agree Rosie, this so called friend was an idiot. How can anyone say there is a time limit on that kind of grief. Don't listen to it. You take all the time you need. Take Carex :o) |

My Mum died in June and a couple of months ago, the women who Mum and Dad fostered for all of one month ( they did keep in touch, maybe every 6/9 months over the years, until she had children and decided that my Mum and Dad would be good grandparents and she took to turning up on a monthly basis) turned round to me and said ' I loved your Mum more than you! and she was the only Mum I ever knew' ' You and your children get all the sympathy and me and mine get none' I'm sure my Mum was the only Mum I ever knew as well, and as for getting sympathy I didn't realise it was a competition Joanne |
