Rosie. You have the headache of the teenage rebel. My son was only sixteen when his father died. There was the grieving and the teenage rebelion all rolled into one. You need to be there for your son no matter what he says to you, no matter how hurtful the remarks are and above all tell him that you love him above all other. You will be suprised how much will sink in. It may take some time but they do remember. My son is now 26yrs old and he remembers exactly what i had to say to him. Be there no matter what!! Vanessa

thanx vanessa i do talk to him and we have had some good chats but the past 2 years he has got in with the wrong crowd and its really hard i am trying and he knows im always here for him i just hope he finds his way rosex

Oh Rosie i do understand. You can tell him till you are blue in the face that they are the wrong friends for him, but he knows best. Just keep reminding him where you are and that you trust him to be truthful and honest and to come to you when things are not at there best. I don`t think it will happen overnight but he will realise when the time is right. And, unfortunatly,(my spelling is lousy) that will be in his time and not yours. Vanessa

Fear not My Lady................ for so many of us have trodden the path that you now walk. And so many of us are so much better for the experience. For I do wager that some day you will see yourself as the most proudest of proud mothers. But perhaps.... in the meantime..... you should take the greatest of care with your friendships on this Board. For it seems to me that in such a short time you have experienced the best and the worst that is on offer here.
