As one commentator put it, the service today in St Paul's Cathedral was a fitting tribute for the woman who became this country's first female Prime Minister, it was not a day for discussing her polices - those discussions are for a later date.

I feel this to be so very true of many people that were affected by Mrs Thatcher and her government. Some people will use any excuse to apportion blame, and do not consider their own actions may have something to do with the way their lives have been affected. However so many of people (me and my family included) got on with re-building our lives and came through it stronger and better people for it.

I have had very bad times in life changing circumstances,but you have to get on with it..moaning doesn't help...when the going gets tough,the tough get going.
That's my motto.

Just be thankful her party kicked her out when they did or we'd all be under private health now,,,,this she advocted ,,,,,,private health,,,,,,,we'd have hospitals run as cottage hospitals for the needy, some small section under the national health run at a minimum,all major ailments and ops treated only if you could pay, as on par with US, life saving cancer drugs for the private sector......no free childhood injctions,no free dental care,and so on.

I also think that more of the NHS has been privatised under 13 years of a labour administration than the last conservative one and Thatcher never touched the NHS or The benefits system
