Spent more than 4 hours today at mum's sorting all the nick nacks have another 7 sacks full of stuff for the charity shop and that was only upstairs. Will go back tomorrow to do downstairs. She had a little collection of crystal animals and I looked on ebay and thought wow this Swarovski stuff is really popular, unfortunately she only had two the rest are just Austrian Crystal. What do you do with all these things ????? Must be careful not to give away collectable things but how do you know.

Where is Sheila ???? Can't see any posts from her for ages.

Wouldn't you just guess, put the sprinkler on at mums as the grass looked dead, and not a good sight when people are viewing the house then the heavens opened later, thunder, lightening and a real downpour. Let's hope we have got the rain out of the way before my trip to Dorset.

I feel like I'm talking to myself here . WHERE IS EVERYONE

I just want to say, I am now a bona fide professional artist. My son did a boot sale and I gave him an old small box canvas painting I did a long time ago. It sold for the princely sum of £5. I was amazed.

Morning all,

Sun is out at the moment and washing on the line. Hope that dos'nt bring the rain as OH is working on my staging as I type. I can hear the saw working. He wants me to try and move a clematis that mum took as a cutting and it is still in a pot but has rooted through into the ground. Don't know if I will be able to get it out as it has been there quite a few years now or just have to cut the pot away and try and lay a stone on it so it is closer to the wall!

Morning All,
Maureen,I think we must have all had an early night last night.Sorry you were all alone .
You asked what book I am reading Well one I have just finished which I really enjoyed and the type of book I don't normally read was by
Judith Lennox The Heart of the Night.
The one now is another Karen Rose .....Silent Scream.I bet you can imagine what kind of book this is lol

Have a lovely time in Dorset if we don't see you again before you go.
Sheila may be recovering from having her cyst removed.Hopefully she will be back soon.

Allright, who had all the rain. Apart from a couple of heavy showers, we haven't had much. Bright morning here, even though the forcast is showers.

Emptied another bag of spuds yesterday, got almost half a bucket. Gave DIL some to take home. Going to empty the other bag today, then all the soil can go on the front garden, after I have cleared some grass's, from the seeds from the bird feeders. Must remember not to feed them there again, Also have dozens ofSunflowers plants in the garden, SELF SETS.
Going for a shower then off to Tesc# to stock up for Lewis's visit tomorrow for a week, (boy can he eat)

Jane Report 23 Jul 2010 11:09

Same here Frank. Not much rain at all.Just about enough not to have to water the garden yesterday.
Where do boys put all the food ,they are like a bottomless pit. Off to get my grey bits coloured now.I only rang this morning and have an appointment at 12.15.It's getting desperate .Both my sister and son commented on how much grey could be seen!!!!!.I can't have that now can I.

Morning all
Been dry & bright all morning done the last of daughters washing and it's on the line, hope it stays dry.
finished all my cleaning chores so I'm ready for MIL coming at the weekend. OH will be late home tonight so we won't get shopping , so will do it tomorrow morning before he sets off to pick up MIL and bring her back to scotland,
she will have her usual suitcase filled with clothes for warm weather , clothes for cooler weather , coats for the rain .
Can't be sure it's so chagable here)

After lunch I'm off to Daughter no 1 house , we are all going to the job centre then doing a bit of shopping.
Poor lass , yesterday was the first time she ventured out without the car and went to visit a friend, so she had to get the bus.
everything went fine going into town as she managed to get a buggy bus which ment she didn't need to take Sofia out of the buggy.
BUT!!!! coming back was hard work. the non buggy bus drivers won't let you bring a buggy on unless you fold it up. Sofia was asleep at the time and there was no one to help daughter carry the buggy while she carried sleeping Sofia. so daughter had to let 3 non buggy buses(stood for over an hour) pass by until she decided that she'd had enough and asked a woman if she could hold Sofia while she folded up the buggy to get on the bus, naturally Sofia wakes up and was very upset to see a stranger holding her. when they finely got on the bus and sat down Sofia clung to her mum all the way.
Daughter ended up getting off the bus a good 1/2 walk away from home at the end of her journey as there was only one man on the bus who would help her with the buggy he was getting off that stop.
she phoned me when she got home and was exausted, she said how to young mums manage with a baby, todler and a buggy !!!!!!!!!

Afternoon everyone,

We had some rain in the night ,but its been dry this morning, we've been to the tip again ,this time we had to take sons Sofa and arm chair ,he's having another ,where hubby has been working the people wanted to sell their sofa and chair so son is having it ,it one of those long corner sofa's and chair in Dark Brown Leather , its only three years old and they wanted £250 for it so son said he would have it ,its hardly been sat on so it was a bargain .

So Frank, you will be busy next week with lewis visiting ,i bet he loves your cooking !! its surprising how much boys can eat ,Jake tucks in when he comes and he's only five !! we tell him he must have hollow legs !!

It's Jake last day at shool today ,he was taking some Flowers in for his Teacher ,made me think about when i was at school and i used to take my teacher flowers in from mum's garden , was so proud when the flowers were put in a vase and they stood on the teachers desk !!

Fiona , i thought all the busses had room for buggy's and wheelchairs now , its hard work with a little one when their asleep to have to hold them and cope with the buggy too.

Have taken a pic f the mum and chicks. I let them out of their ark today. she took ages looking around first and getting her bearings. Don't think this mum bantam has been down here before but think the last one had as she seemed to know the ropes.

OH is now going to cement the posts in I think. Well he has just come down the garden with a tailer load of sand.

Frank I think we had your rain yesterday as it did'nt really stop all day. Today the ground is soooooo wet OH has had to put some boards down to tread on.

Just popped in quickly before I go pack my bags, I shall be doing the same as your MIL Fiona. Don't know what to take, don't want to be cold, but don't want to be too hot either so it will be a big suitcase !!!!!!!

They never even had those buggy buses when mine were little, there's only 13 months between two of my girls, I just walked everywhere with a double buggy and plastic hoods in case it rained. Maybe that's why I stayed a size 10 for years !!!!!

Maureen so sorry I deleted I read my messages back and they did not make sense to me so doubt wether anybody
would have been able to understand them. The ops left me so tired I could sleep for ever and have a thumping
big headache.

How are you such a lovely lot of good wishes when I switched on today. Its been a dark day here no light
and dull and I could not even sit in the garden to get
more life back into me. Just been wal;king the dog
three times in all to get some energy sheila.

Jane Report 23 Jul 2010 18:26

Oh There you are Sheila lol.Sorry about your poor head.Did you have a General Anaesthetic?I would just take it easy over the Weekend If I were you.
Yes I think it is Rabbits that are being shot.Since my 2 with myxy,we have only seen a couple !! Fingers crossed they stay away.I lost so many plants.

Mandy ,an 8 seater settee,I would love to stretch out on that.We have 2 leather settees, but I think they are a bit low.Not too easy to heave yourself out of lol.My sister had to be hauled off one the other weekend.I could do with one of the chairs where you pull a handle and the seat rises lolol

Maureen

Maureen Report 23 Jul 2010 18:34

Sorry Jane, I have this really funny image of you being ejected, like on aeroplanes, from your sofa and flying through the air !!!!!

Sheila, hope you are feeling better soon, a little break might do the trick.

Good job you reminded me Mandy, must charge the camera up now.

Have missed a few posts, has Ann gone away, she's very quiet.
