Correct MEL, I woke at 2am thinking of that, and that buggere# me. I layed till 4.30 got up had a couple of cups of tea. And thought I would look in on you dreamy heads.

The Big End Story:- A man driving down a main road, when his car came to a halt. A farmer in the field came over to enquire, The driver said it just packed up. The farmer said he couldn't help as he haden't gone mechanical. "HOLD ON" he said. I do have a very large chicken, you could borrow to tow you home. They riged up a harness, and off he went. When he got used to the pace of the chicken, he started to make it go faster, by hitting it across the bum, The chicked took of at about 50 miles an hour the ropes broke, and the chicken keept running. A police car came by to enquire what was wrong and the driver said "MY BIG ENS GONE"
Cloudy windy morning here, looks like we could get a drop later. I had the sprinkler out for a good few hours yesterday Both back and front, All over her clean front windows, so to keep the peace I got the dusters out and cleaned them. and the windows on her car, If you leave them they go all streaky.
We pick Lewis up at 9am at the junction of the A5/A508. about half way for No. 1 son to drive. Two weeks running, what a lucky chap I am.

Loved the wishing well too.

Pond is filling up again this morning and OH is carrying on with the decking.
He is making a lovely job of it.

Frank ,have you left any strawberries for Lewis to find this week ? or have you been eating them all again before the birds get them.
Liked your big End joke Frank ,your always coming up with a joke aren't you .
The car has gone in for its MOT today ,lets hope it doesn't want to much work done .

There was an almighty crash just now ,Toby came running in ,when i went out the garden brolly over the table had come unscrewed and the top half had taken off in the wind ,and gone over ,good job it didn't come over to the conservatory window.!!

Morning All,

Thanks for the pics Jane/Mel. It took me a while to work out where the pond is, but you and OH have done really well to get that much done in this hot weather. It is going to look smashing and so nice for you to be able to sit there and watch the fish.

Sofia is a real cutie isn't she Fiona and you are all going to need eyes in the back of your head now she is on the move!! lol

I have been cleaning the lounge window and patio door and porch windows this morning while it is cooler. Have weeded the greenhouse and my veg boxes and been round with some weedkiller on brambles coming under the fence. OH has cleaned the white gutters on the conservatory........painting again now.

Had some of our loganberries on my porridge today......reminded me of Jane's rice pudding. lol

Jane, I heard Cliff being interviewed once where he said he only eats 1 meal a day, fish or a salad usually...........looks good on it doesn't he. lol Could we manage that.....not sure!!

Annx

Annx Report 2 Jul 2010 12:07

I liked the BIG END joke Frank. Thank you for the e-mail too....made me chuckle.

Off to pick some more loganberries now. Every time I tread amongst the vegetation there I come out with insect bites.......I think the manure must have attracted some of the biters......or blighters!!

That was lucky Mandy, it is a bit breezy here today too.

Hi all
Thanks for the pics of Mels pond via Jane , what a lot of hard work it must be to dig that out , look forward to see it when it's all done Mel and the fish are in, you are going to be kept busy feeding fish & hens every day and all the other wild animals that come into the garden. my OH would love a pond but I said I did not want one as they can encourage frogs (shudder!!!!!) also we have two big fish tanks in the dinning room , one tropical fish and one gold fish and I enjoy sitting watching them swim about very relaxing.
OH has also threatened to have a water feature in the garden but I said I wouldn't be able to sit and relax as I would be running to the toilet all the time due to the running water.

My OH dreams a lot if not a pond or water feature how about a swimming pool Ah Ah. IN SCOTLAND!!!!!! A BIG NO THERES ENOUGH WATER COMING FROM THE SKY IN THIS COUNTRY THANKYOU.

saw your pudding pics Jane "mmmm" not sure how to comment on those

Thanks Mandy for the pics of Katie she looks a bundle of laughs to, hope she doesn't have to much bother with her teeth, Sofia keeps putting her hand in everyone's mouth to touch their teeth she is fascinated with them
It's blowing a really hard wind here to ,haven't got our brolly up today .

I'm on my own this afternoon "Oh the peace!! heaven,

I'm catching up on e-mails and housework then off to do some of my exercises, got 4 new ones yesterday for the lower back area .The physiotherapist said I had to be careful with my posture the problem could be is that I seem to slouch when sitting, I need to keep reminding my self to sit up straight , and to stand correctly at the kitchen sink.

Better get on now or everyone will be back and I'll miss my chance to get some jobs done.

Decking all down and rail up. Now OH is off up the veg garden looking down the well as it seems we have taken all the water out of it!!!!! Suppose the ground has been so dry it soaked up all the rain we had esterday and none gone in the well. Must go and stick my nose in and see what he is doing as our well is about 25 or 30 foot deep. If he went down it...........................................I would have to find about three big ladders and tie them together to get down to him!!!!!!!!

BBL watch this space
