Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I did try the back button and the Genes logo back to the home page and in both cases I was asked to sign in again, even though I hadn’t signed out. I don’t know why I typed the post straight on to the Genes page. A senior moment I think. If I am doing more than a few words I usually type it up separately and then c&p. At the moment I’m on the iPad and typing this in “Notes”.
Ann, the Co-op is our nearest supermarket but they don’t deliver in this area. We are only isolating because of age so we can go out for essential food and medicine. I am managing with a Tesco delivery every 2-3 weeks and one quick trip to the Co-op in between which works out every 7-10 days. We go at about 7.30 am when there is hardly anyone there; last time there was one other customer in the shop. It’s like a military operation: kitchen roll to hold the basket or trolley handle - check; hand sanitizer - check; wipes - check. I also have masks though we haven’t used them yet but I take them in case it’s a bit busier. We are going there in the morning to get some veg and milk but apart from that and a trip to the pharmacy every 4 weeks we are staying home.
Your Ros is a real star Frank. She deserves a medal with all the things she has made. I hope you have a better night tonight. We’re a right pair aren’t we. If you lived nearer I’d be coming round to yours for a middle of the night cuppa and chat.
What a shame the video played up with your art streaming thingy Ann. I think if I had to do something mindful with a tray of flour, my mind would be blank. I’d probably make a cake with it, lol. I should think being involved with the Covid-19 projects would be really interesting.
I hope your head/eye ache is feeling a lot better now AnninG. How’s your sore mouth Mel? I hope you are feeling OK as well Jane.
My head is aching at the moment but I know it’s just lack of sleep so I will probably have an early night tonight. See you all tomorrow.

Yes head/eye ache was better today. I was not on the computer as much, spent the afternoon making cards.
We had cottage pie tonight which was very nice. I did manage to burn a saucepan, OH smelled it I didn’t he was upstairs I was in the dining room next to the kitchen, unusual for him to smell it and unusual for me not to.
Good turn out for clapping again but we didn’t stay out long as rain threatened. We are a very. Iced age group from a three year old to an 85 year old.
It was very showery here today Mandy so I would not have risked putting washing out.
Ann how is OH getting on with his virtual meetings? Is he comfortable with them?

Thanks for asking about my mouth and yes its a lot better today and I made a lasagne tonight and it went down really well. Oh said it was good too so thats a bonus.
I do hope that Frank and Vera get some well earned sleep tonight as you both must be due some now.
Frank its good you can use the testosterone cream instead of having the painfull injection. Ros has done a marvel with all the bags and masks she has made and I don't blame her at all for having a rest from them now. Well done Ros you're a treasure. <3 <3 <3
I must get my hsopping list into the local shop for Saturday or I shall have my tail chopped off when I go in.
Love to Jane......xx <3 I wonder what she's been up to today?

Looks like it will be another 3 weeks in judging from Boris's talk yesterday. At least he was abit more upbeat and not all doom and gloom.
I slept quite well last night which is good. Not sure what I am doing today but OH has got himself out in the garden so it is peaceful indoors.
Frank I wonder why they didn't give you the cream before instead of the painful injections.
Jane, not seen you for a couple of days. do hope you are OK <3
Pleased your mouth is better Mel.
Annx well I expect you thought the same as me this morning. We should both be almost in Cornwall by now!!!

Morning Anng and all,
Wehave adry morning with huge clouds some white some grey but there is enough blue sky to make a sailor a pair of trousers.
Its good you had a better night AnnG and I hope Frank and Vera did too. I myself went out like a light the mo my head hit the pillow cos I don't remember laying there thinkin g about anything.
This week seems to have shot past to me, Gardeners World again tonight and I feel like I have only just seen the last one!
I did manage to get a cue plant down the shop last week and I have it in the shed repotted in a nice big pot.
I seem to be overun with eggs this week not having our big breakfast because of my tooth. Maybe I shall make a quiche for lunch and some more cakes today and if not Em will have whatever I have as she passes some on to family. Its lovely to hear the children out in the garden playing.
So no jet bypass for Colonel Tomm but spitfires and hurricanes. I wonder what the jet was about that flew over here and Franks?

Morning all
Very cold here today, I've got my heating on. The sun has only just come out so maybe it'll warm up soon then I can turn the heating off.
I see you're tooth is feeling a lot better now Mel, that's good, there's nothing worse than having tooth ache and not being able to get to a dentist.
Yes, I was wondering how Jane was, we haven't heard from her for a while.
How did everyone sleep last night, I finally had a good one and feel much better for it today.
I'm waiting for an invite to an Ancestry tree a tree match on Genes is going to send me. I'm stuck again, so could do with a breakthrough. Hopefully it'll be on her tree.

Morning all
At least it’s just about morning as I’ve started typing but will probably be afternoon by the time I post. The weather sounds much like yours Mel but it’s quite windy with a real chill in the wind.
Blue to make a sailor a pair of trousers - it’s years since I heard that expression Mel. I think it might have been my grandfather who used to say it. I wonder if it’s generally known throughout the country or whether it might be a West Country expression as my grandad’s family came from Devon. I am glad your mouth is feeling a bit better.
I had a better night as well. I woke several times but got back to sleep OK so I probably managed about 6 hours in all. I hope Frank slept well too.
I’ve just remembered I promised OH leek and potato soup for lunch and I haven’t started preparing it yet so I’ll post this now and come back later.

Good afternoon All. Just mad a few scones but that is the end of the flour so no more baking. (not really sorry, while I like cooking I don't enjoy baking!).
Just done the monthly bank finance balance and all that is ok so after lunch may be more card making I think. sun is shining a bit but still feels cold indoors ecen though it is 12 degrees outside.
We have not got any cucumber plants yet Mel. Usually just have two or three.
Have just phoned the pharmacy (OH did), and they will send our prescriptions to us.
Thanks for the video Frank, very funny.
Lunch time I think.

Afternoon to you all,
Much the same sort of weather here, chilly in the breeze. Ros has changed the bed today, the sheets are having a good blow. They will smell lovely when they come in.
Naughty Ros decided to go to Tesco first thing this morning, got some fresh meats and veg. She said the queue was just starting, but everyone were doing the right thing and staying well apart. She has had a "FUNNY TURN" while in Tesco. and had to sit for a while.
Yesterday, when Roswent to get the COMPOST she noticed she had a flat rear tyre. Close to the B & M shop is a tyre sales and repair place, They checked her tyre, only to find the interior wall was shredded. They didn't have the tyre size in stock, so put on the get you home tyre, and sent off to get her attire. She went back tater and they had fitted the new tyre to the wheel, so changed the wheel. The cost was £72.00. Where we normally go in town, the tyres are only £45.00. So who's making a good profit. ??
I had a good night until 4.00 am. Then I just laid until I got up at 6.45. Don't feel on top form, my legs and back are aching like mad.
Not sure what the weather is going to do. The clouds are turning BLACK, so I expect rain is on it's way.
Ros has just showered and washed her hair, and is now using her new DYSON AIRWAVE. she just loves it.
I have started on my Testtoseron crew this morning. Rubbed into my BELLY. Far less painful, than the injection. lol lol
All at SIXES AND SEVENS today. We can't seem to agree what dinner will be tonight, I still have some leftovers from yesterday, which I was going to heat up, and do Ros a steak. Now she's talking of a ROAST CHICKEN. with roasties and veg. More work for me. !!!!
All the close were out last night, singing and clapping. Next week it is VE DAY celebrations. So I will be out there for sure, singing all the old WAR TIME SONGS.
Take care all, and STAYSAFE. xxxx

Vera it was my grandmother who told me about the blue sky and enough to make a sailor a pair of trousers. She came from Woodford essex so not a Devon saying. I have heard of one slightly different which someone on here said once.
I have done one lot of washing and hoovered all the spiders up in the kitchen and diner and done the carpets in here too. Made lunch and watched Father Brown and now oh is out on his mower cutting the top field and I have just turned the heating n as I am cold. Yes its the wind thats cold here too today.
Frank you will enjoys the wartime songs next week.
May go and have a little play with my clay now. O I have a coupole of photos to send of me going to corn the chickens that oh took with my followers. I'll do that first.

Back again. Our soup was lovely and we had a big bowlful each with the same amount to reheat for tomorrow.
Frank, could I see your video please, or was it private. Some of the things you’ve sent have made me smile. I’m sorry to hear Ros had a bit of a turn at the shops. I hope she’s OK again now. Do you think she has been a bit too busy and needs to rest and relax a bit more? She does so much with all her sewing and driving and helping other people but she needs to take care of herself too. Perhaps Harvey could order a few more bits on the delivery he sets up for you so she can shop a bit less often.
We did shop ourselves this morning at the local Co-op. I don’t think it has the variety of the other supermarkets but is the nearest to us and less busy than the others so it seems the safest at the moment. They now have a new system. They have 8 baskets by the door and you have to take a basket. You have to do this even if you are using a trolley. When the 8 baskets have gone no-one else is allowed in the shop till someone has left. It’s a reasonable size shop but this way there are never more than 8 people and staff inside so plenty of room. In fact there were only 4 people there when we were inside. Like other places it is marked out in 2 metre lengths and a one way system. Mind you, some people are either stupid or just plain reckless. I wanted something from an area with salad and fruit but there was already someone in that 2 metre square so I waited back. He moved away and I went forward. So did another woman who came right up behind me, reached over my shoulder and took some bananas off the shelf. I was speechless and didn’t dare turn round to say anything as we would practically have been kissing!!! She moved, I turned round to say something and she must have seen my face because she just ran down the aisle and round the corner. STUPID WOMAN.
We were home by 8.30 am and a bit later I got my allowed bit of exercise by walking to a friend’s house, intending to put a present for her 80th birthday on her doorstep, ring the bell and retreat. But when I got there she and her OH were in her front garden with 2 lots of neighbours in their gardens, all with a glass of wine. I stood in the road and we all had a nice chat, even if we did have to speak loudly. I declined the wine as it was a bit early in the day even for me.
I’ve received your pictures Mel. You’ve got a fan club there.
Where’s Jane? I hope the treatment hasn’t made her feel poorly again.
I was going to go and tidy up a few more plants in the garden but it’s just started raining again. It’s only light at the moment but the sky looks leaden so I think it’s going to rain quite heavily. I’m not sure what I’ll do now but I’m sure I’ll find something.
Oops I was right. The heavens have just opened again.

Afternoon All I am here :-D I think it was just yesterday I didn't post but am sure I did the day before .I have not had a good week really and am feeling a bit down in the dumps at the moment. I lost my voice and have had a bit of trouble with reflux and getting food down. I need to get out of this house for a change of scenery. Maybe Chris will take me out for a bit of a drive tomorrow.
Mel I loved the pic of your 'shadows' :-D. You are like the Pied Piper :-D :-D
I will be back tomorrow hopefully feeling a bit more cheerful :-D

thanks for the photos Mel like the pied piper.
My Mum and Dad used to say that about enough blue sky to make a man's or sailors shirt. (Hampshire).
I had a lovely surprise this afternoon a large box was left outside the front door, these delivery people will knock the door instead of ringing the bell so I didn't hear it but saw a shadow of the box through the frosted glass at the side of the door. Our daughter sent us a beautiful bunch of flowers from M&S. Really lovely colours all yellow, cerise, orange and purple. She also sent our neighbour some flowers for looking after us.
tonights meal is curried prawns, quite an easy meal.

A very quick Good Morning all,
I have been up for a couple of hours but don’t seem to have done very much. I’m still in my dressing gown and haven’t had breakfast yet. I’ve no idea how warm it is but it looks much like yesterday with the sun shining, then going behind the clouds for a while. Not sure what I am going to do today. I don’t feel motivated to do anything much but I expect I’ll get going on something sooner or later. Have a good day whatever you are doing. Stay safe.

Morning Vera and all,
A nice bright one here at the moment but like you say Vera the sun goes behind the clouds and then pops out again.
Just the shop to do for the paper and a few bits.
Yesterday my right arm hurt a bit at my shoulder. Today its even worse. It feels like I have wrenched it but maybe its just too much pc game playing. We had Freecell Friday yesteday with double points and I went a bit mad.

Good morning all. some sun and some cloud and 10 degrees so not very warm here. Not got a lot to do today, OH has just run both cars to warm them up and free the brakes. Now he is in the garden so I had better go and make coffee. Have a good day everyone and stay safe. I still have a right arm that is very painful when i try to do some things (like reach up and lift something down.) But it doesn't hurt to type. :-) :-)

We have just had a scone and strawberry jam (My scones are not very thick so not too fattening) and coffee sitting in the conservatory, then I took a few photos of the garden and OH has gone back to wandering round the garden with his secateurs. (Just caught him just now butchering the lemon balm, persuaded him to leave some of it as I like to brush against it for the smell, it is under the arch. Earlier he took both cars for a short run both seem fine.
Can't make my mind up whether I want to get my T shirts out and put some sweaters away. At the moment I am in long sleeved T shirts which have been out all winter as earlier I was wearing them under sweaters. So that would be a job I could do. Can do without finding any more things for charity though or it will be filling up the spare room
