Sounds like Ellen needs to rest her poor knee David. My son rang from Uni today to ask Dad what kind of knee support he should
have ,as he is doing more sports now and he is getting some twinges in the knee he had operated on.He had 80% of cartilage removed a couple of years back.

Evening and Night, night All xx

David at least Ellen will have those tasty bargains you got to distract her from her poor knee.

Catie, I think Sophie did the right thing too. I had a member of staff from a very modern thinking, westernised family, who were happy for her to go out with any boys from different religions to her own. All was well until she fell in love with one of them! She was convinced her family would only have her happiness at heart when she told them and never dreamt it would be a problem. The poor girl was forbidden to marry and was sent to live with a widowed aunt in London!! It broke her heart.

I get driven nuts by being followed around a lot too Jane.....by OH!!! lol He denies it, but he seems to creep up and then scares me out of my wits with a booming voice.....he denies that too!! lol I love him really!!

Those e-mails were BRILL Shirl.

Night, night......

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 17 Oct 2010 09:03

Morning All,

There's a frost this morning which I had expected as there was another beautifull sunset last night. The sky was all red. Sunny now and I have to get some washing on the line.

Maureen sounds as though Alfie may have an ear infection like Mandy said. I hope so for his sake as they can easily be sorted out. When I had a young cat at my pet shop years ago she had fits after having kittens at a very very young age. She would lie on her side and twitch and her mouth would be open. When she came out of it she would just look round and get up and walk away. I always stayed with her while fitting if I could.

Catie I think Sophie made the right decision to. Better than a whole lifetime of misery.

David hope you enjoyed your tea last night. Sounded great!!

Frank, where have you been hiding yourself?

Love to Shirl and Sheila.

Jane

Jane Report 17 Oct 2010 10:03

Morning Mel.
Lovely here too .Not sure if there was a frost earlier as I wasn't up then.I can't put washing out this morning as Chris is going to cut the lawn and he takes down my whirly gig,so it will be the tumble drier.
I was trying to think how Mum got all her washing dry in the house.I seem to recall the wooden clothes horse steaming away in front of the stove thing in the kitchen.I doubt we had an airing cupboard then either.
Must get dressed and go to the pet shop to get more food for Chester. He is getting a right piggy these days lol

Jane

Jane Report 17 Oct 2010 12:24

I have had to pull the curtains Mandy so I can see my screen too.The sun is getting lower in the sky now.I was nearly blinded just now in the car !

I just had my flu jab while I was peeling the potatoes lol.Chris walked up behind me and right drop them!!!!!!!.It was then his turn for me to do the deed.He didn't feel a thing .So that is that done now for another year.

De Boned Chicken sizzling in the oven.It smells scrummy, and my tummy is rumbling.Roast Pots, runners, carrots, broccoli and parsnips.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 17 Oct 2010 12:30

OH and I are just looking at a narrow boat holiday for next year.

Have any of you been on one?

Jane

Jane Report 17 Oct 2010 13:01

I can picture you on a narrow boat Mel.My Mum and Dad and sister had a holiday on one and thought it was brilliant.I think Dad was a bit of a clutz though as he dropped the lock key in the river ,and then crashed the boat into the bank causing my sister to fall of the toilet and everything to fall out out of the cupboards lol. They also picked up a dog that must have been left behind by someone.Dad wanted to keep it but Mum said NO so they had to hand it in somewhere.Poor Dad and Janice were distraught
Ahoy there !!!!

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 17 Oct 2010 15:22

It was the potatoes you had to drop was it Jane lol
Did you Debone your chicken, or did you buy it deboned ?

My pork is smelling good

Clouded up here a bit now ,the sun has been really warm through the windows
I don't think i would like a boating holiday ,i'am not keen on the idea of sleeping on a boat !!! what if it sprung a leak !!!!
