Morning Everyone.

Frank, it's lovely to find a book that grips you, isn't it. I recently read Julie Walters autobiography and really enjoyed that.

Anyway, just popped in to say that Baby is home. I'm staying with him at my BIL's house, until a routine is established. Everything is still a bit of a muddle and we haven't had the funeral yet.

Well, what a night I had lol. BIL gave baby his bottle at midnight and he dropped off when being fed. TWO hrs later he was screaming the place down and it was my turn to settle him. Boy, that wasn't easy and having crawled back into bed at 3.30 am, he then woke 6am. The midwife called earlier and said things will settle. I hope so. To be honest, I've felt a bit overwhelmed by it all. He seems so small and vulnerable. Nurse gave him a bath and said it was my turn tomorrow lol. Oh dear lol. I used to think I led a busy and hectic life.... how wrong I was. Looking after children is so demanding. Rewarding too.

Well, I had better dash... The family doc is coming to see us after his surgery. Need to put the hoover round.

Have a safe journey Sheila and try to have a rest. That letter did make me smile.

Oh Dear Catie.I think you will have to get used to these disturbed nights lol
I think anyone in your situation would overwhelmed with everything at the moment.I bet you will shed a few tears as well .I'm sure things will settle down as the midwife said, and Mark may pick up on the stressful situation.Babies are very intuitive .Do you know yet when the funeral will be ?

I am ignoring you Frank lol.Calling me names again!!
As for puss Podge,he apparently waltzed back from wherever he had been this morning. He has no idea how much worry he gave me lol

It is so windy here ,but still bright.Washing blowing on the line.Lovely.

Frank did you say it is Ros's birthday on Wednesday?

Catie ,I hope you have a good night tonight with little Mark.(Don't hold your breath). You need to grab any sleep you can in the daytime at the moment.
You give him a little cuddle from his Aunty Jane.

Frank that expresion is from Yorkshire I think. I had a distant relly that always used it and I thought it was a bit more polite than say it was pi***ng down.

Back from shopping and just as I came out of the shop it had been siling down and the carpark was flooded and I had to paddle through two inches of water to get to my car. If I had gone along a bit further it would have been deeper!! Of cousre I had one of those trollies that wants to go it's own way!!!!!!

Frank Report 6 Sep 2010 18:35

Poor old soul.

Evening all
No rain for us today but very windy,
feeling tired , woke when OH went out at 5 then managed to drift off again till 6.45, OH phoned me at 7 to make sure I was awake and up for daughter & Family who were arriving ay 7.15, which they did. then it was go man go , sorting beakfasts and getting ready to go out ,
Been out all day wandering around shops since 11.00 this morning and finely got in about 4.30 , SIL came and collected his family at 6.00 so Iv'e come on to say hello and then go and get something to eat.
Very quiet here on my own Ahhhhh heven, looking forward to watching a couple of DVD's then off to bed to read my book,

will pop in later after dinner, hope Sheila got off alright,

Catie- In June SIL went to work in Italy for 5 weeks and Daughter & Sofia came to stay with us , (Sofia being 9months at the time)
Sofia never slept through one night, sometimes taking an hour or so to get her back to sleep and having to give her a bottle which daughter had manage to stop during the night before they came down. at least one night aweek we couldn't get her to settle and when it got to 4.am and it was getting light the only way she would go to sleep was by putting her in the car and going for 1/2 drive round the town till she would finely drop off. Mother & gran then finely managed to crawl back to bed, then she would be up at her normal time 6.30am
I enjoyed having them to stay but was exausted and happy when they went home.

Night Frank, enjoy your book,

Jane I wasn't shopping for anything special, bought some more feeding spoons for Sofia 12mnths plus size and a plate that had 3 sections good for seperating food, and a knife & fork set that is shaped so Sofia can feed herself.also some more Polly Pockets, and then wandered around filling in the time while daughter no 1 was at her interview in the Job agency.
Was very good and kept my purse in my bag as I passed the sales racks.

anyway I am off to bed with my book
Catch up with everyone tomorrow

Morning All,
Off to the VET in a minute to have Chesters itchy allergic btm looked at again, and his limp.
I am sat here in stitches as we have just had a load of wood arrive (to make raised beds) ,I had to get James up to help the little chap.He was only about 5 ft tall and couldn't get the wood down on his own as it was too heavy .What he would have done without help lord knows.lol.
Right off now.BBL

Frank Report 7 Sep 2010 11:07

Morning all,
That didn't work, going to bed early. Was awake at 3.30am. When the pill wore off, Laid with loads going on in my mind. Got up at 6.00am. Still feel like I could bite a nail in half. Must try to keep my cool, hope she dosen't set me off. My body feels like I have been through a mangle. Ache all over.

Hope Chester got on allright at Vets. More spray I expect, and a lot more money !!!!!

Everywhere wet through outside this morning, the rain was lashing down as I laid in bed. Heavy clouds and shunshine at the moment. It looks by the forcast, that it will be wet for the rest of the week. Summer has been and gone and we didn't notice it. Thank God May/June was allright. Not too hot for Jane now.

Bet Catiel, still asleep, don't blame her, get it while you can. There is no substitute for rest, when you need it. Hope Mark is coming along O.K.

Jane

Jane Report 7 Sep 2010 11:21

Jane

Jane Report 7 Sep 2010 11:41

Chester needs more antibiotics and has had another steroid injection. The vet isn't worried about his limp.Just arthritic I think.
Just picked more beans,They certainly perked up after a good soaking.
