The first record I bought was Oh Donna by Ritchie Valens...my mum and dad bought me a Dansette record player for Christmas.

I was mad about Pat Boone...I still have the albums!!!

Oh and I had a picture of Tab Hunter (and Pat Boone) on the inside lid of my Dansette..."Young Love" for those who may remember Tab Hunter LOL.

Ooooh Bobby Darin and Johnny Burnette...I am now walking down memory lane LOL.

First single i bought for myself was 'Rock On' by David Essex....


Did anyone else get given those awful Top of the Pops albums ? all the current hits by sung by bad immitations rather than the original artist - i always got one for christmas lol

I think my first ever album (bought for me) was a Cliff Richard - I was gonna marry him when i was a little girl lol *OMG*

McAnne, i remember buying one of those albums, not realising they were
not the original artists. I was so dissapointed.

1st one i ever brought was

I ended up with a huge record collection being just inder a 1,000 records of ...7s, 12s & albums

Staff Col,,, i hate to admit this but i still have the mouse in the winmill (i didnt buy it) pmsl I used to play it for my kids but they didnt appreciate like i did!
