Dr DUDE and all the other interllectuals allow me to answer your
questions----------In fact the Holy Bible irs self explains it.
It seems that the Universe had been about for millions of
years ----But Erth??
It says God went onto say let us make life other than us
so he selected what we know as earth from the solar system
the one most likeley to sustain life.
He then set about by means of Holy spirit to create that life-----
which i will not go into details on, out of respect for your views
you expressed concerning your feelings on religion.
But each creative day is one of 7000yrs in length--so that
by the time Eve was taken from Adam it had been 49000 yrs
since our creator began creation.
Why Eve was taken from Adam was all down to Genetics,
each to its own kind. By creating things that way it prevented
cross breeding---So it was never Gods Purpose to cross breed
and that was why He destroyed the Earth in Noahs days
because fallen Agels had come to earth and cross bred with
mankind------

regaurds to you all

As you say, Colin, depends on your beliefs as to whether you accept this or not.

I have a personal abhorrence of organised religion, but everyone has an absolute and inalienable right to follow and believe that which suits him or her.

Dear Colin,
I think you meant to say each creative day of Gods is equal to One thousand years of ours, not Seven,

I am a Roman Catholic, but I find every other Religion interesting. I think we should all take on board others beliefs and make us more wiser. Dont have to believe but just understand where they are coming from.

A creative day is different than the ordinary time
as referred to when God says to Isrealites in the
wilderness you will serve a year for a day etc;
In this case as i explained the Bible writers
reffer to being in Gods rest day and, he rests during the seventh day---we are still in that seventh day,
but 6000 yrs have about arrived
At Rev chpt 11 verse 18 the b part of 18 He says
speaking of now-a-days and i shall bring to ruin
those ruining the earth---------
But that God rests,is seen from the many scriptures
what say Jesus is" Lord of the sabath" and he will
rule as king and judge---Why?-- because God is still
in his rest day

i am actully a lapsed catholic. it brought it home to me when my grandmother was dying (in the 1960s)and the priest called round to berate her for not attending mass and leaving her weekly donation . i know things are differnt now but that vision has stayed with me because the poor woman thought she,d rot in hell

No such place as Hell Urban old mate and i agree
religion has caused all kinds of suffering--but
if we look on the Bible as Gods Letter-or-again the Highway code book----of life
Just because you see a Bobby go through red
lights, doesnt mean the Highway code is all wrong
And i always keep in mind the same as the catholic
lady earlier---At one period some of the desciples came running to Jesus saying--Lord theirs folke
preaching your words in the next village and they arent a part of us lord----Jesus replied " If they
are for us,how can they be against us."

Shalom

I'll help you out Colin,
Hell was a word used in the king james and the catholic 'douay' version to translate the Hebrew word
she'ohl, and the greek word hai'des, which is just the common grave,
Hell is not a place of torment or damnation......
A wonderful and loving God would not send our dead ones to live in such a place, when he has provided the promise of a ressurection. it would be silly wouldnt it?
The bible says the dead are conscience of nothing, they are awaiting a resurrection.....
