Can anyone please help me? I'm after my G Gran and GG Gran on the 1881 Census. This is the Info that I have upto now.....Olive Deaville was born on the 18th April 1880 at 11 Mill St, Leek, Staffordshire, parents are Charles Deaville and Mary Ellen Deaville (nee Bailey). Her parents were married 7th February 1880in Leek: Charles Deaville was 21, Silk Worker and his father was Joseph Deaville (Labourer); Mary Ellen Bayley was 17 and her father was Peter Bayley (Stone Mason).... note that Bayley has also been spelt Bailey on their marriage cert. I've found Charles on the 1881 census, but he's down as living at 11 Mill Street with his Father and his Married status is Unknown. Can anyone find Olive and Mary Ellen on the 1881? Thanks in advance Claire x

I found Charles on the 1881 - as you ,said, with his father. But, looking at the image, his married status isn't 'unknown' it's 'unmarried'. Christine

As Olive is there as a nurse-child, is it reasonable to suppose that her mother may not be all that far away? I was trying to go forward and back with the images, but Ancestry won't play just now. Christine
