Thanks for that Merry. If I look for a marriage between the Head & Wife in each household I may find the wifes maiden name could be Cranmer (am I right?) In the 2nd family there is a Sarah Ann (Wife) who would be Elizabeths mother could she have been witness at her daughters marriage. How likely is this

Janet At the end of the day all you can do is send for certificates in the time period and correct area referencing the fathers name must be John, you may be lucky and only come up with just the one? don't order them online actually call them, as online they that take No notice of the referencing but still charge the price of it, in my experience anyway. I do think the mother is Sarah though as its the only family with Father with the name john and children with names of Elizabeth and william.
