The marriage cert does show John as father. I have just found that 51 census image, 1861 Ann 1818 Head Charlotte 1850 daur >>>>George 1842 Son Luisa 1838 Daur William 1823 Son 1841 Ann 1811 Eliza 1834 >>>John 1806 Joseph 1836 Louisa 1838 William 1826 George and Marthas' daur Lilly was in fact Lilly Louise,so maybe that is an omen too. The address in the 61 is Steep Hill,which just fits nicely with the address for Marthas father and sister in the later census. The Lincoln census are all St Swithins,St Mary Le Wigford and the High St/The Strait/Steep Hill (about 600 yds worth of them anyhow) Time to do an index sheet or two methinks.
