Hi Val, mine didn't arrive today either! :-( Jack, you can order them from the local offices. If you know the reg district, just have a look on the Genuki website, to find where their records are held and contact them direct, it is a lot quicker usually. Lynn

I ordered two marriage certificates for the first time the other day so i hope they come without any problems! I ordered them from the GRO website.. are there regional places you can order them or something? Im new to this. Jack

well i got home yesterday from work and my london marriage cert was there so i am pretty pleased. i think i have been very lucky so far sylvia:-))

thats what I was hoping they would all arrive in the same Envelope so easy to pretend there is only one then isnt it ???I am quite lucky in that Hubby is usually out with the Dog when Postie comes so I have a sneaky look then hide them , mind you its so frustrating, waiting to come into my Office and have a proper look.Oh well tomorrow is another day please let them arrive then please .

I ordered 7 yesterday, estimated despatch is 31 July. 6 Marriages and 1 death. I hate the wait but hoping they come next week.

I ordered 2 certificates on 13th July with a despatch date of 19th July, they both arrived today in separate envelopes. Sue

Mine due for dispatch on the 21st arrived on the 22nd. All in the same envelope too, so Hubby thinks I only ordered one bless him :-)

yeah i was surpised myself....that has to be the quickest i have ever received............it normally takes about 10 to 14 days usually but funny you should say that angela as the one i am waiting for is a london marriage cert...........mmm

I, too, ordered one for despatch 21 July & it's not turned up yet. Trouble is it's a London one so had to use GRO. They used to be so reliable, you could virtually guarantee they'd arrive the day after estimated despatch. Angela

Do you think it makes a diffrence how you order - phone or website ?? If so I'm glad I payed the extra over the phone of £8.50 a cert. I ordered 3 by telephone on Monday 17th and received all 3 in the same envelope from Southport on Thursday (20th). 2 births and 1 marriage. Pen ( who hopes the 3 she ordered on the phone yesterday get here on Thursday, lol) x

well i was lucky as my dispatch date was the 19 july and i couldn't believe it when i got 2 of the three certs i ordered on the 22nd but i am still waiting for the other one. we'll wait and see as i have just ordered yet another so see if that comes before the other. sylvia

you were lucky then I seem to wait ages nowadays.I am lucky that I know my usual Postman otherwise he would think I was a nutter lying in wait.

I think you have just struck unlucky - I have been well satisfied with the last couple of dealings Ihave had with them. Cliff

Hi Lynn its so frustrating isnt it the trouble is I had to order these from the GRO otherwise I would not have they are very naughty lately , why bother to give you a despatch date better not to at least then you dont get impatient. I am getting so tired from all these early mornings and late nights.

Hi Val, I ordered one on 17th, despatch date 21st, I really expected to get it yesterday, but still not arrived today. I ordered on on 18th from Lincoln, they said it could take 2 weeks , but that one arrived on Saturday! Hope there is better news tomorrow. Lynn
