Hi Linda, The Baptism that Elizabeth found for Ann Simcox in 1831 has Joseph and Esther Simcox as her parents. There is a Joseph Simcox baptised in 1796 in the IGI, also a Mary Ann Simcox in 1802, both with parents William and Hannah Simcox. If these are correct for your family, it is possible that Ann Simcox was therefore Mary Simcox/Bell/Partridge's niece. Ann may have put William Simcox as her father on her marriage certificate because she knew William Partridge as her father, but also knew her surname was Simcox, so she might have got confused. Just a theory, at any rate. :-) Chris
