Could someone please help i have posted hear and there many times. BUT with out any luck so far i have not found any trace of my father’s family. My father name jack William Beeton, he father so he believed was john Henry Vincent Beeton, the only birth cert i can find for him is john Henry Vincent, father Henry Vincent, and mother Sarah Ann Vincent former Sadler. John Henry was born dec 1906. My father was shocked at this and very up set to think he may be a Vincent and not a Beeton after all these years. So i went on to trace my grandfathers brothers to see what there birth certs turned up. I ordered them and on there certs it said mother Sarah Ann Beeton formerly Sadler, father Henry Beeton, all born in London Southwark area, at different address. Now im not sure if the cert for my grandfather is the right one, one part of me says it is, but i can not find Henry Beeton any where i can not find Henry Vincent i can not find Sarah as a Sadler Beeton or Vincent, there a peers to be no marriages for any of them. So my question is Have i got the correct birth cert for my grandfather? Are we Beeton's or Vincent? Helpppppppppp Please. If there is any one out there that has any ideas what i can do next to trace my complicated family, as i have followed the usual roots and have got no where. Best Regards Viv

When and where was your father born? Have you got his birth certificate? Would his birth name have been John rather than Jack (Jack is a pet name for John)? Kath. x

My father was Jack William Beeton Born November 1933 There was a baby boy born before him so i was told he died so they called my dad Jack. The birth cert i have for John Henry my grandfather is.......... Southwark, St George the Martyr West, County of London 4th December 1906 so that could be the correct one The other certs i have are for his brothers if they are the correct ones Charles Richard Harold Beeton Southwark, Christ Church & St Saviour London 7th Jan 1909 Fredrick Thomas Beeton 22 sep 1912 Southwark London

Viv, this does sound like you have the right certificates and that there are two fathers involved here with the children and if she did not marry either of them we're stuck. I have to go to work now but will have a look for you later, meanwhile someone else may come up with ideas to help you search. I hope your dad isn't too upset. Alison

If you haven't got your father's birth certificate this is the reference:- Jack W. Beeton, mother's maiden name Ruler Dec. qtr. 1933, Romford, 4a, 582 The birth certificate will confirm what his father's name is. Kath. x

Thank you Kath for that info I don’t think it would help to get a cert for my dad. I have a cert for John Henry Beeton and Daisy Ruler marriage, and the cert of my dad’s older sister Olive and on there he is a Beeton so i don’t think it would help. Many thanks Viv

Hi Alison You don’t live in Yorkshire do you? As i have a friend in Yorkshire called Alison Day. Well that's good New’s that i have the correct cert. Well i don’t know if she married family members said she was married to Henry Beeton but they have no proof and I can not find any ether. VIV

HI, It may be that that the fathers are the same man Henry who between 1906 and 1909 changed his name from Vincent to Beeton for some reason. Any idea when Sarah Ann was born and where? Anne

When did John Henry and Daisy marry, and who is given on the cert for John Henrys father, and what was his fathers occupation?? Also, who were the witnesses at the marriage?

Hello John Henry and Daisy married 30/05/1925, Henry Beeton and his fathers occupation was warf docker labourer. Viv
