I haven't used this site for sometime but have paid for sub every year. Thought I'd check out to see if anyone has found any of my ancestors and I could contact them, can't even find me let alone my ancestors!! What has happened to the site? Just say's NO RESULTS FOUND?
Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong now please

You can’t see names in your own tree in ‘search all trees’……..never could

The site hasn’t changed in essence since I joined over twenty years ago.

Where on the site are you expecting to find your ancestors?

If you have used the site to build a tree, and haven’t deleted it, all the info will be there under ‘Family Tree’

Thanks for replying, I was using the Search tool and nothing. I only really used this site when the Pankhurst's owned it, apart from asking question in community I'll have to renegotiate this I think lol

Could you have put too much information in the boxes?

There are a lot less people on the boards nowadays and so likely to be fewer trees.
Your library probably has access to Ancestry - use that and see if there are any trees. However, you won’t be able to contact anyone through that.

I was just putting in James Buddell and James Charles Buddell 1858. Have never found his parents James Buddell & Sarah Theobalds so check sites every now again

If you're using "Search all Member Trees", and not finding your relatives, try not putting in the year of birth, or place of birth.

If still nothing, it will mean that nobody else has your relatives in their GR tree.

Some names in my tree are there in other people's trees on "Search all Member Trees" - some with correct YOBs, and some a year or two out.

Someone named Roger has James Buddell, born 1858 in London, in his tree - per Search all Member Trees.

Yep Roger and I have both been looking for JCT's (James Charles Theobalds) parents but never found them, so I check ancestry sites every few years just incase some one has found something I've missed.

I presume your info about the names of the parents come from a birth cert?

Was he born ‘at home’? If so, what was the address? Who registered the birth?

JCT does not seem to be on any census before 1891……certainly not as transcribed by FMP

Its a birth cert He was born 7 Quebec St, London, son of James Buddell and Sarah Buddell (nee Theobalds), if my memory serves me right he was with the Davy family 1861 but name wrong way round, then he goes missing and returns 1881 with his wife Emma Hall, you'll never find them, complete mystery lol

You haven’t said who registered his birth………if you could find that detail, it may - but may not, of course - be helpful

The only place I think I found his father (as he was a Gentleman's Coachman) was in 1871 census in (i think) Titchfield or something like that House as a coachman, but when I rang the local estate agent they told me the house had burnt down and all records destroyed

Her mother was Elizabeth Crible, married Henry Burbage in 1814, was widowed, then married Jesse Theobalds in 1823
