Apologies for not thanking you for wishing me feeling better. I woke up with pains in my eye this morning and my mood all day hasn't felt good. I am doped up on paracetamol to try to prevent a full-blown migraine and to try to 'chill' me out somewhat. So far so good.

I took a look at FamilySearch on the off-chance of finding a baptism but came up zero.

If you Google 'Scattered Homes' quite a few sites come up.Maybe one of them will be of use.

From Janice's list of possible deaths I think can we narrow it down a bit?

Charles William Perrin 1888 Jan-Feb-Mar 1976 Hackney London

Born too early?

Charles William Perrin 1894 Jan-Feb-Mar 1974 Lichfield Staffordshire

Too early?

Charles William Perrin 1903 Jul-Aug-Sep 1976 Paddington London

Possible?

Charles William Perrin 1906 Oct-Nov-Dec 1976 Peterborough Cambridgeshire

Possible? Would be about 17 at the time of marriage (1923)

Charles William Perrin 1912 Apr-May-Jun 1973 Birmingham Warwickshire

Too young to be married in 1923.

I think the most likely death is the one in 1976 in Paddington (born 1903). This also makes sense that he is the Charles in the Scattered Home in the 1911 which would explain why he never spoke about his family.

If he was only 17 he would have lied about his age anyway to avoid needing consent. Where did the marriage take place, and was it by banns or licence?
