Hi Tenerife Sun

I did see that one but ruled it out due to him living at Palermo St, Seacombe in 1903,4,5,6,and 7 but of course the Valuation List only names the main bill payer( or so I believe?), so, thinking about it again, he could have been married and then moved...

I think I need to get their marriage cert...

Thank you

Ah maybe the paper spelt the hostel wrong, he did live in Liverpool and had returned to his old stomping ground, he died in Wallasey after being taken to the Central Hospital...where he was dead on arrival and identified later by the police

Think I can rule out the Edward, Minnie on 1911 census ?

According to a tree on Ancestry he was Edward Cornelius Downey married to Minnie Huntley, although the marriage reg gives him as only Edward, any thoughts...

Edit...Thank you Tenarife Sun for all the info

Thank you Shirley....

The info might yet be correct, I have applied for Edward and Minnie Huntley's marriage cert, then at least I know one way or the other for sure....

The marriage cert for Edward Downey and Minnie Huntley is not the correct one for my Edward Downey.....

So he's still "missing"
