Haven't a clue about William's occupation by the way! Looking at the page the enumerator has used a lot of letters and abbreviations,curse him. Have put out a plea for more help. |

The Hancocks theory was correct I looked for a baptism on the IGI and found her as Mary Charlotte Elliott Hancocks! Father Joseph Hancocks and Mary. What a can of worms. Thank you tempest for looking at the 51. |

I read 1841 occupation of Thomas as... S smith ( silversmith maybe ?) and William as ? key M (maker ?) |

The Father is 'S'smith' silver smith, so I think William is either S maker or S beater |
