Just to let everyone who got involved...

Last week I made it to the Westminster Archives and now have a copy of the original register entry for Susanna Clayton nee Everson to Scipio Robinson.

Bingo!!! The 'S' is very distinctive and an 'exact' match and likewise the end 'on' for Clayton and Everson.

As an aside I would just like to say that I did enjoy my afternoon at the Westminster Archives not least of all because of the very friendly and knowledgable staff. The only downside was that copies are £1 each as opposed to the usual 10/20p in other London Archives.

Thanks again to all those who spent time on tis back in April.

Thats really good news Chris...getting your confirmation of correct marriage.

I didn`t add to this thread back in April ,but remember reading it.

I too have been to Westminster Archives a couple of times, and yes the staff are really knowledgable and helpful.

Thanks for letting us know how it ended, Chris. I'm happy that you're a "happy bunny".
Incidentally my grandma was an Everson but from the Norfolk Eversons.
