ellusive is this one. emma jane is thought to have lived in bromyard
she died in 1933 giving birth to her second child, child also died, i cannot find any history of her prior to her death in 1933 except that she worked in bromyard also. any help greatly appreciated

How old was she when she died??

He lives in Vineyard Barn, by himself. Charles Philpotts is living by himself in the next barn, he was also born Cradley, Hereford. so maybe his brother??

thank you for your help in this, such knowledge, i have just paid £5 in credits , but it just shows you one page and that 's often small, and it eats the credits so quickly, i have not been able to find anything to do with the philpots i dont know how you managed it.

anyway to answer your question i only have her daughters birth cert her daughters marriage cert and emma death cert . there is nothng on them to say who her parents were or her birthday so it is a bug bere, i will press on with what you have given me if you find anymore please let me know thanking you in anticipation hope to hear from you soon kindest regards chris xx

You really need to order the Marriage certificate of Emma Jane.......... I would hate to send you barking up the wrong tree!!!

You can order on-line at The General Register, costs £7.00 and takes about 1 week to arrive.. just tick that you know the Area/District, or they'll charge you more. Once you have that if her father is Thomas, then hopefully my work will fall into place for you.

nan's mom emma jane died in childbirth in 1933 so she never knew her mother, her father refused to talk to her about it. nan is now nearly 84 so i thought it would be nice if she could find out who this missing family is before she leaves us all. i have been to see her and looked at all the things she has but no record of who her mom was. then all of a sudden she said "oh" she had a sister who had a daughter called gladys, i think this is the only lead that i have. i have her birth year of 1902 so one of the families that you sent me looks very positive nan,s middle name is mary and the mother of one of the families from martley was called mary, any way if you can trace emma through edith mary 1906 philpotts i am in your debt forever you know so much more than i do, i may never find her mom for her. so anything you can come up with would be most appreciated kindest regards chrisxxx

I would say that this confirms that all the info for Emma Jane in the 1911 census is her and then tracing the family back to Mary Ann Bullock and Thomas Philpotts in the previous census would be correct..... you now have Emma Janes' parents.
