Someone has given me a disc. PC cd-rom, not been opened yet but I know nothing about computer discs,
Anyway this one is called create your own Family Tree Genealogy Suite by Focus
It says everything you need to create and share your family tree..

Now I don't have a clue what this is and I was given it some time ago when I was on Windows, now on Vista.

Can someone tell me what it is and how to use it if I can now I am on Vista.

Hi Ericthered,

This person just bought it for me as a gift, they don't even own a computer but they did know I was doing my family tree so they thought I could maybe use it.

Try typing.

Family Tree Genealogy Suite by Focus

into Google, all will be revealed with the first hit.

Google is your friend. Try the 4th hit on the page. It's supposed to be compatable with Vista.

Gee Betty, what you need is a teenager. When you have found one, please send it round to me! I can give you my address. I am just so slow at picking up all these things.

You will get there bit by bit. Don't feel daft about asking, keep asking.

Hi Margaret,

Yes I should really stop the first 10 year old I see passing and ask them, they would have a better Idea than me anyway.

Betty

It's run you need.

Put the disc in mouse up to run and select D drive (probably). then Browse and you will find setup click on that and the programme will then ask you where you want to install it and carry on as usual.
