Milk, one sugar please :) I'll keep trying to find Richard and/or Mary. Do you have Richard and Martha in 1891 and 1901? (I guess he's probably dead by 1901 though?) Guess they're both dead by 1891. I found Albert (under Ashley) as a Lodger and Mary (under Lewis) as a Servant. Albert is Lodging with a family of Lewis'.

Tracy, Even more confusion. Just found this, Family search has a Mary Lear 1860 born to Richard and Mary. This is in Chesterton about 5 miles away.

I think I have the connection. It starts with Richard and Martha Lea. They have two sons, Richard and William Lear. Richard the younger marries Ann Ashley who already has a son Richard Ashley. Richard we think marries twice. 2nd time to Martha Ann Lewis William marries Elizabeth who dies young after the birth of two children. He then marries Harriet. They have 3 children. when william dies, harriet marries thomas Lewis and has another daughter, mary Jane Lewis. Am I still making sense.?

That sounds good to me :) Least we know where all the Lewis' came from lol I still can't find Richard and Mary though :( The available Parish Records only go to 1812. Unless you can get to Stafford?

Martha Ann lewis is the daughter of Thomas Lewis. He was also married before to Hannah ? I will have to put this on paper to see it all clearly

Madeley Parish records are on fische at the local library. they go up to 1885 I think. My plan this morning was to go and look up a marriage for another branch of the family this afternoon.
