I am looking for details re my grandmother. She was born in Dublin. Her name was Elizabeth chivers. She came over to the Wigan area and married a widower named John whittle. This was in the mid to late 1800's he had children from his previous marriage to Alice. They had 2more children namely Elizabeth and Joseph. Joseph was born in 1900 he was my father. I am lead to believe that my father had a cousin and an uncle in Dublin. One a policeman the other a priest. Don't know which way round. But they lived in Dublin. I think that the family could have been farmers. I m desperate to meet my long lost family. Please please can anyone help. Regards Joan <3

Joan, there hasn't been any activity on this thread for 7 years.

You'll get better results if you start a new thread of your own. Just go to the first page of Find Ancestors and use "Add Topic" button.

hi i have been trying to my greatgreat grand parents thomas lyons born about 1833 to 35 they had a son thomas born in york 1860 then ann or annie born in leeds 1864 then mary born accrington in1874 got that information off the 1881 census that is the only census i i have found them looked 1861 and 1871 no luck i just keep hitting a brick wall have any advice to give because iam just a novice at this
