Hi Jess, Perhaps you can help me. I have in 1881 Census, Robert Johnson Preston, 26 yrs, grocer & draper, with his wife Emily O Preston (the O is mistaken, her middle name is Derwent on IGI), and two littlies, 2yr old Emily G(race) and 3 month old William L(eadley) Preston, living in Thorne, Yorks. I would like a) this family in 1891 and 1901, but b) More importantly, Robert Johnson Preston earlier in 1871 and even 1861 as his big brother William (b c1835) emigrated to NZ but we do not know when. The bros were born in Easingwold Yorks. Parents George and Elizabeth (Hobson), all info from IGI and freebmds so far, middle siblings Hobson, Elizabeth, Charles Henry, Marianne and Isabel.
