hi dea
we think he could be there son as michelle told me who she married & i found that marriage & discovered he had a middle name so went onto see if any edwards were born in that area at that time as they were living in st giles area on 1901 census & the birth reg i found was the only one i found could would be a poosible match so told michelle that it maybe worth the cost of the money for the cert to find out if he is or he isn,t i,m lost now too lol

Dea Report 28 Apr 2010 12:32

Ah, you see - I KNEW I was getting confused - I found a baptism but it was not Edward, it was William, with a middle name of John !!

London, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813-1906

about William John Jacobs
Name: William John Jacobs
Record Type: Baptism
Date: 6 Jun 1897
Father's Name: Alfred William Jacobs
Mother's Name: Amelia Ellen Jacobs
Parish: St James, Clerkenwell
Borough: Islington
County: Middlesex

Born 13th May, 1897
Address 37 Mt. Pleasant
Father was a Book edge gilder.

Sorry, I was confusing the two children so you are probably quite correct about Edward being Edward James.

Apologies,

Dea x

i now have birth cert for 4 of the children williams edwards amelias and ellens they all have the same father and mother amelia ellen turner the only problem i have now is i still can not find the last 3 children i put in name dates and mum and dads names but they dont come up still how ever i did find out the head of this family was the local mid wife so there is a chance she did not bore all 7 children if that is the case would any know how i go about finding how these children come to be part of this family
