On the above site you go to frequently asked questions and the first point tells you how to order a birth cert.
It says the records are not available online, they are in the process of digitising them and its not been decided what will be available online.

regards Deborah.

hi gilian thank you for your pm, i do believe that is him in ireland, you are brilliant to have found that, can i ask a favour of anyone, i know he got married to anne doyle in chelsea, and no children could be found here, but could anyone check if there were children born in ireland, as not sure when they went back to ireland, would be much appreciated. thanks

Dawn, you really really do have to do some of the work for yourself. I've tried to explain this ...

Have you made any effort to contact the Hornibrooks I found in the Irish telephone directory who matched with the info Fairthorn found? That is such an obvious possible link -- I can't believe you wouldn't follow it up as soon as seeing it. Is it not living people you are looking for, people who can tell you something about Stephen?

Have you gone to the link Deborah gave you -- groireland -- to search?

Other people really don't have crystal balls. They have access to internet sites that you mainly have access to, too.
