I am completely baffled by all this information you have sent I have no idea what all this means. My father is going to the devon records office tomorrow to get the marriage and birth certificates for william, george and ellen so maybe that may turn up something.

Hi Janice I have found another message on the message board of someone looking for claus nielson who married a mary bawden and had a son called george henry. Could it be the father of william.The message says claus was a merchant seaman.

sorry no he went today but they were closed he is going tommorrow. I have searched claus nielson on this website and emailed others who have a claus nielson in the hope he may appear on their trees.

I have also uploaded a new gedcom file in the hope of some hot matches being relayed back to me
