	Anne, Although my mother's mother's family are the ones that were from Kent, my mother's father 's brother (my great uncle) lived in Hythe for a while according to records :-) All my Grandmother's children (except for my mother) were registered in Elham. My mother was registered in Romney Marsh, her mother's ancestral home. My mother believed she was born on the Isle Of Sheppey, as her father was in the military. Maidstone .... Kent

	Etchingwood - Sussex Jem. my 2 x paternal great grandfather commited suicide by drowning himself in Hythe Canal. someone sent me a copy of the newspaper report :-( :-(

	Hi Anne :-D :-D :-D :-D Rhandirmwyn ..... Mid Wales A beautiful place in the Brecon Beacons where I camped when I was 10 with a schools holiday. A record-breaking thunderstorm occurred on the Thursday night! I was sharing a tent with an hysterical girl! :-0 We went on 12 mile hikes up mountains, and the leaders told us to have a good look down at the beautiful valleys below as they were soon to be flooded for a dam. :-( - Llyn Brianne http://www.enchantedtowy.co.uk/Llyn%20Brianne%20to%20Llandovery.htm

	HI Jem :-D :-D. Neverseal - Peak District Your camping holiday was a lovely experience for a 10 year old, I agree the Brecon Beacons is a very scenic part of Wales, after 10 mile hikes I expect you slept well apart from the thunder storm night you must have felt very vulnerable only being in a tent :-(
