Hi Malc, sorry your Mum isn't responding so well but my goodness, she has done well in living more or less independently for so long. I hope her care package works out well and she is found a place somewhere convenient to you all and comfy and cheerful. I presume the bungalow is rented so has to be cleared soon, and that is a horrid task. I know when my Mum died, my brothers were all of a splutter to get rid of things and altho they could have easily afforded a second week's rent, they couldn't wait to chuck things in a skip etc. This will be an emotional time for you and your sister so I wish you luck at a difficult time in your lives.

So sorry to see latest news - hope your sister comes round to the medical advice soon - I'm an only child so had to organise everything when my mother needed a care home - I could have done with someone else to assist as I felt it was a lot to take on by myself.... love to you all Jx

I know she has to go into a home but its my sister that wont let go now and let me sort out the bungalow

Your mum has reached the point where she needs more care than you are able to provide for her so you have to accept that she cannot come home.
Don't reproach yourself,-you have done your best

She was 91 in October

how old is she agen malc

Still no results from the scan and very little change but they are begining to put a care package in place.We have been told that her condition will not improve its heartbreaking to see such a proud independant woman the way she is now.

Hope you get to see the doctors soon and hear what they have to say. It is such a worrying time for you all but do take care, and stay well yourself so you can help do whatever is necessary to get your Mum settled and comfy somewhere nice.
