Still no more news.

David visited yesterday as he was in the area and finished early enough.

There is no change.

Got a call at 11.30 from kyle at school, very distressed. Got himself all upset so he was allowed home.
Hes installed in front of the tv now & laughing at something funny.(thank god)

i send hugs to you all

you have my understanding on this situation, i was same with my MIL,
she never bothered with my hubby or our kids, she hated me,
when the end came he grown up grandaughter phoned me at work to pass message on to my hubby that his mother was only given hours to live, i had to go home lunch time from work, wake him up and tell him the news,
i cried cos i knew he would never gett he answers he wanted off her, he travelled to get there and she waited till he walked in the room, then she died,

its hard to see them suffer though they are grown men, but just be there for them all, and hope your son is comforted by his mam being there for him,

Morning folks, still no news.

Dave has gone to work, as he said, theres nothing else he can do really. Even if he does get a call to say shes passed over, hes said his goodbyes now.

Some of you may remember that Ive said in the past that I'm not close to MIL because of a variety of reasons.

Towards the end I still feel the same. I can only feel relief that she soon will be.at peace. Ive not cried, I feel strangely detatched.

But Im desperatly upset for David, after all, she is his mum and he loves her. My pain is ongoing for him and also Kyle who says he loves his nan, despite his nan never ever taking an interest in him or connie. .

I hope your mother in law sees her loved ones calling her and takes their hands....
a sad time for you all but as you say, you have had time to say goodbye and you know you have done all you can to ensure her comfort.
