I think that he is as guilty as hell! I thought it the first time when he paid off Jordy Chandler and I think it this time! The pattern that he has got is common with child abusers and for some reason he thinks he is untouchable! Do I think he will be found guilty.....no I dont! I hope for other childrens sake that he is because if he does get off with it then I dont think it will be very long before we are watching the scenario all over again! Bev

Emma Report 28 Apr 2005 08:44

Well, I think he is totally innocent. Yes, he's guilty of making himself look bad by paying some of the families involved off - but don't forget how many people he has around him, basically running his life for him - I'm sure most of these people will have 'advised' that paying them off was the easiest option - and so he did. I think he's led such a strange, sheltered life that he genuinely has no real understanding of normal life, and what in the adult world is right or wrong. Most stars experience normal life as well as stardom to a certain degree but I think MJ's the exception. He hasn't grown up because he hasn't had to - so I believe that in his mind it's just him and his friends hanging out and having a sleep over, as boys do. He's sadly probably only got the mental age of some of these boys and so connects with them as friends instead of adults. I feel sad for him if anything. Probably not expressed myself very well here as I'm still bleary eyed and only on my first coffee!!

Morning Emma....That first cuppa goes down well doesnt it? I have to disagree with you though! I think he plays the 'poor little me' thing a bit too well! Personally I think he knows exactly what he is doing and manipulates people very well! Just look at the evidence....there is a definate pattern! They cant all be wrong.....! Going filling up my cup again as the last brew hasnt touched the sides..lol Bev

Emma Report 28 Apr 2005 09:08

Morning Bev, I've just put off getting showered and dressed and done the same - made another cuppa! I have followed the evidence from the start, and always been of the same opinion - if the boys' stories hadn't changed from the start I might have had a slightly different opinion at this stage - but I think it's just made my opinion stronger. What I can't believe is any normal parent letting their children be with MJ after the very first instance years ago. I find it very difficult to believe that they haven't had an ulterior motive all along. I do hope however that when all the evidence is taken into account the jury treat him as if he was Joe Bloggs - and if found guilty by them he gets what anyone else would. I don't believe in special treatment just because he's famous.

PolperroPrincess Report 28 Apr 2005 09:17

I think part of the problem is he is so convincing....people looked up to him and I will be honest I didnt want to think he was guilty! However the more I watch and read the more convinced I am that he is! Like you say though Emma...I hope he isnt given special treatment because he is who he is! The sad thing is though...if he is guilty then what a waste of his talent! Bev

I know it's easier said than done, but :- 'Don't be too harsh with the one who sins Nor pelt him with words or stones Unless you are sure, yes doubly sure That you have no sins of your own'

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 28 Apr 2005 09:45

Hi Fred, I agree with you that he certainly needs help if he cannot see that his behaviour was wrong. As I said before, he is guilty of inappropriate behaviour, by his own admission. If he cannot see that his behaviour was inappropriate then he should be kept away from children. I'll wait for the rest of the evidence to see if I think he was guilty of sexual abuse. I shan't rely on the jury's verdict. A jury found OJ not guilty. Gwynne

Guinevere Report 28 Apr 2005 09:47

Hi Jayvee, I'm certainly guilty of several sins - but child abuse isn't one of them. In my eyes some sins are worse than others. Gwynne

I think the guy has completely lost touch with the real world and having so much money has created his own. Fair enough I suppose. I can't understand the parents, letting their kids stay at his house, knowing full well that has been previously accused of kiddy fiddling, irrelevant whether he did or not. I have the feeling he is just a confused, naive guy who loves to be around kids, and doesn't mean them any harm whatsoever. The problem here is, that he is a physically mature man, with the needs and drives, that physically mature men have. Whereas normal men find an equally mature partner, he is surrounded by kids - who he sees as his equals.

Ok this is a country of free speech and opinion, (I hope), but you cannot judge someone just by what you have read in the papers, it is not always true. The tabloids will say anything just to boost their sales and cause agro. At the end of the day the courts will decide whether he's innocent or guilty, it's not right for other people not involved to say either way Sarah, xxx

Rupert Report 28 Apr 2005 11:26

Because I am of an age when to me his music is meaningless garbage, I accept that to millions of younger folk his music entertains. What I cannot accept is that a lot of people who say 'Dont beleive every thing you read' can say that when in front of millions of viewers he dangled his youngster from a window like he did. Like many gifted and talented people in my mind he is a nutty fruit cake and if his horredous appearance is anything to go by there is something radically wrong with the man. Rupert Bear

This is a tough one. We only really know what the media has let us know so it is hard to make a decision. I agree with those that say we should have all the evidence but also I would not let my daughter stay over at his place. Jack x

Len of the Chilterns

Len of the Chilterns Report 28 Apr 2005 11:34

I try not to read about him and wish the media would wait till the end of the trial before reporting on it. len

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 28 Apr 2005 11:42

I think he's as nutty as a fruit cake purely for the way he makes his children dress in public.... there are many celebs that keep their children out of the public eye without having to make them wear masks.... Using this as my basis on the rest of his life.... he isn't living in the real world.... his world is bizarre and irrational and to have children sleeping in the same room with him that are not his is WRONG!! And what is he doing with his own children, if he has abused the ones he's accused of? Its WRONG that he has custody of them and subjects them to what he does!!

I prefer trial by jury rather than trial by media. I've no idea whether he is innocent or guilty, just hope that justice is done.

Dafydd

Dafydd Report 28 Apr 2005 13:39

I think we should go back to the Saxon methods of justice. Trial by combat. That would really boost the media sales figures. Imagine how much Sky would pay for that one!

i think hes a mad as a hatter.guilty,i don't know one way or another but if he is he should be locked away .what does annoy me is people saying he should be treated in a mental facility ,would you say that if it was a 'normal' person who had abbused a child--i think not.

l still think he is innocent, the media has too much too say, how do we know who's lying and who's not. One of his wives appears to be sticking by him on the news this morning - but again how do we know if she is lying or not. No one will ever know the truth:o(( And yes he is very sad and he's been treated appallingly. jude sarf wales
