Mandy, When my son was born my Nan said to rub my face with his wet nappy!!! It is supposedly good for the skin. My Nan too had beautiful skin and very few wrinkles when she died at age 84.

Ok I know I'm off the thread again but I missed the wrinkle one.... My great grandma washed every morning in 'virgin water' which she got fresh from the poe under the bed. She was taught this by her mother in Ireland. It was a known and common beauty tip. She had beautifully soft skin all of her life.

Bryan, I believe it is best mixed with water when first attempting to drink your own urine, otherwise I expect the eyes could water!!! Urine squash LOL maggie

maggie, my correction was for mr chambers, not yourself. bryan.

Unknown Report 23 May 2005 00:25

correction please! if your in a position without water, and need to drink urine...you need to filter it first, using soil...urine contains acid, and if drank as you suggest, would close the throat. bryan.

If we're off the personal bit i'll reply. Drinking your own urine restores essential minerals lost from the body. If you are healthy and your urine is very yellow - they are minerals. Apparently after a while of drinking and re-drinking your own urine it wil become the colour of champagne. Zoroastrians wash in bull's urine (gomez) and drink consecrated bull's urine (nirang) as a purification ritual. maggie

Haven't I read somewhere that tap water has been through at least six human kidneys before we get to drink it anyway? Dee x
