Guinevere Report 1 Jun 2005 08:13

Hi Maz, I hope he continues to improve. I do know how you feel. My son was diagnosed with chronic asthma at 18 months and we have had some very bad times. It's awful to watch. His began to get under control when he hit his teens but he still had some very bad attacks. He used to miss at least 6 weeks of schooling every year. He's in his 20s now and the attacks are much further apart and he lives a mire or less normal life now. I wish you both well, Gwynne

Hi Maz I have just seen this too, I am sorry Michael is so poorly I hope he will have a much better night, and you too of course. I know what it's like being an asthmatic and my eldest son being one too it can be very difficult, as you know rest and and calm is a great help to make things easier. Take care and best wishes to you both. Pat x

Hi Maz, Just seen your thread. I hope all is well now. Don't worry too much - I'm sure he'll be OK soon. I had pleurisy when I was 5 years old (in the Dark Ages), and although I was in hospital for 3 weeks, things have moved on a lot since then, so I'm sure it can be treated much more effectively now. All the best to you and your son. CB >|< XX
