For what its worth I would like to add my bit. I hope Charles and Camilla are very happy together. Diana was no angel, only liked the media when it suited her, and who knows what went on behind closed doors. Diana has gone, let her rest in peace and let Charles and Camilla get on with their lives, life goes on. Sue

I'm wondering how David Owen knows what I look like, he describes me so well LMHO. That's the smacked arse not the complete stunner :-( Pat x

LOL Give over Pat I bet you are stunning;) Lesley - I think you're wrong about the people. Speaking for myself, I've forgiven Charles for how he treated Diana and Diana for how she treated Charles cos all of it was totally irrelevant to my life. They were both human and I presume both made mistakes. I'm not fussed if Camilla is called Queen, Princess, Duchess or Alfred - it's not going to make a huge difference to me and I assume she'll be on stamps and coins just the same lol

I have read through this thread and am amazed how strong feelings still run. I for one couldn't give a toss whether C loves C, or William hates C or Harry loves C or any combination of the above. As you've most probably guessed I would be delighted if the Monarchy was disbanded or whatever it is you do with an archaic institution. Jean x.

It always amazes me that people can have such deep and often vitriolic feelings for people in the public eye who they don`t know but who they percieve to be everything that in the papers say they are .I assume these people need to get a life.Has anyone read the Royalty Boards there are half a dozen posters on there who should be warned as their posts and beyond fair comment?

I think they should be left alone, and not constantly criticised. They love each other, and have the blessing of William and harry. Its been said they are fond of their stepmother. If its good enough for them, then its good enough for me. To say that Charles should abdicate because Edward did, is ridiculous. For heavens sake, things were different in 1936 !... its seventy years on. Having a child out of wedlock or a single woman having s*x was inappropriate then but is acceptable (and rightly so) now. (I personally don't like the C of E , they refused to marry me and hubby because he was divorced...despite the marriage ending was down to his ex) If the church is unhappy to marry 2 people, why do they perform a blessing for the same couple ?..to me that is the church giving their blessing. It contradicts itself to suit. If it was Diana who cheated on Charles, and Charles was the 'victim', would anyone object to his marriage to Camilla? No, they would be happy for them. Camilla may be the wrong side of 50, but seeing her on her wedding day, with love in her eyes for Charles, they deserve to be happy. As for those who say they wont forgive a pair of complete strangers, I feel sorry for any close family member of yours who does something you disapprove of. Elaine x

I havent had charles and camilla rub anything in my face... In fact, they forgot to send me a card for my birthday this year I would keep your anger for people who really do you harm, not those who stare out from a tv screen or magazine page. And whose story you get via the paparazzi, remember them, .....the ones who hounded Diana to death.

My! some of you Girls are scratching tonight meowwww, well for those who were'nt around in the early days, giving me age away now, Charles would have married Camilla, but the power's that be wouldnt hear of it, they probably thought Charlie should have married some foriegn princess, but they were in short supply, specially the Proddy ones, so he got sent abroad in his dhingy, and Camilla ended up marrying Parker Bowles, I dont think Charles really wanted to marry Diana, as someone has said they were not suited, her becomeing a bit of a prima donna, which didnt help matter's and Charlie still had the hots for Camilla, so in a way blame the establishment, the rest is history, so lets keep it that way and leave them alone, you cant do anything about it so why keep on about it. Len Ps Had a mate who was on Charles ship, told all!!

Pat Report 1 Nov 2005 20:21

Len, I agree with you about Camilla & Charlie i would think it must be true love with the two of them. I thought it was quite obvious that Charles didn't love Diana and I don't think Diana really loved him she was young probably a little overwhelmed with it all. Elaine Lesley was agreeing with you ;-) Pat x

Lesley sorry if you misunderstood my posting. The anger part of my posting was meant in general for all the angry people who sadly cant let the past be past, and let them be happy as a couple. With all the terrorism and hatred going on in the world, at least we can see some happy people living their life to the full.. Who are we to say they should not be happy together ? Looking back, it may have looked as if was intended for you personally. Im sorry again if I have made it look that way. Elaine x

Well, I don’t know about you lot but I think I may have been just a tad peed off if my brand new hubby was wearing cufflinks on his honeymoon presented to him by his old flame… not to mention phone calls and gallops in the country!!! That aside it was surprising to see Camilla chose to wear Pink on her first engagement in USA…. The same colour Diana wore on her first visit.. and correct me if I’m wrong but her new hair style looked rather familiar!!!! After that I have to say let them get on with it like the spoilt little rich kids they are… getting their own way at last… oh and of course they are in luuuuvvve!!! Just don’t let him and her ever rule Britain!!! Wonder why the Queen has never stood down in favour of Charles???? Jacquie (Oleander) xxxx

Ultimately... Diana is dead... and I'm sure she'd be happy that her sons are now in a stable family with a dad and a stepmum. As much as she might disapprove of Camilla, her, Charles, William and Harry are happy... and a family at that. I hope they are are ALL happy forever and I'm sure Diana would feel the same. love becx

Id just like to add, Ive seen some pictures of 'Cammy' on the tour, and to be honest she lookes quite lovely ! As for her wearing pink, pink is a flattering colour for a lady of her age, such is other pale colours. (what I call wedding outfit colours) so unless she is wearing the same frock as Di did, I dont think it matters. LEN Come on spill the beans... .....post it all on here no-one else will see it lol ! i too hope Charles and Camilla will be happy!! unfortunatly the royals are still in the dark ages, when princes ansd princesses had thier partners chosen for them, ususally from other countries ie: prince Phillip came from a German(i think) royal family and he was chosen for the Queen for that reason!! It was the same for Princess Margaret, she was not allowed to marry the love of her life!! she had to marry a lord Hope i have some of my facts right!! Helen
