I have to say Bob, I have thought recently about its time for another flood. I dont want to sound a prude - cos Im not - but old Mary Whitehouse was ridiculed about her views and blow me, its all coming to fruition now isnt it. Yes, you cant help wondering about Revelations and the time of the end, with men acting like 'wild beasts' with no love for each other - Im not a fanatic but surely this world is becoming a real Soddom and Gommorah,(sp?) isnt it. I despair of the cruelty to animals, to children, to old people to everyone in general. I cannot understand how people can live with themselves when they have done something so absolutely evil.

if we got rid of porn that would really help,heavy fines etc[on porn,theres alot to be said for films like gone with the wind,it left alot to the imagination,xxxjoy

i didnt see this till now, i agree if this gets to court, they should suffer, but theyll get away lightly id love to get my hands on um before it reaches court, and now a house just up road from here is being investigated, linked to one of the kidnappers, i bet hes one of our flaming customers too my heart goes out to that little girl and her parents

I have heard of some dispicable acts but this one beggars belief. My heart goes out to that little mite. What sort of deep-seated memories will be stored forever in her head and what effect will it have on her life............. a life incidentally which could have been lost had that car not been spotted with no lights by the Police and followed. Where would they have taken that baby and what would have happened to her ? It does not bear thinking about. I am not by nature a violent person but in circumstances like this I can fully understand when parents/families - rightly or wrongly -seek revenge

Justice for the perverts is to hang them and not by their knecks it makes you feel disgusted at what some of the human race are capableof to another human being Howardxx

On an upbeat note: The little girl has been allowed home. Police probably felt it was the best thing to do - to be at home with her mummy and the rest of her family, and to be in familiar surroundings. She was reportedly not badly hurt when the car crashed, but has other 'significant injuries'. I would imagine the police are confident they have everyone in custody who needs to be locked up. And may have a 24-hour guard on her home. Thank God it wasn't more tragic. Brian

My feelings are that these people can never live in our society, we see it time and again, they go to prison and are surpose to be rehabilitated only to re offend, its about time the powers that be understood that we dont want them in our society, why should we inflict these perverts on our children. Find an island thats uninhabited and stick them on it, with heavy security!!

What I can't get into my head is that these people look and act normal and mix with us all, like Peter Sutcliffe, and nobody can understand because they act like you and I, but they must be really perverted to do such things.....

I have read before that many men purposely advertise for partners who are single mums with young daughters, then lull them into a sense of security by being the perfect boyfriend/surrogate father. Later their dark side shows itself when they abuse the child(ren). What sick evil people this world has bred - some young single mums are very vulnerable and look for some one to love them, without really getting to know the chaps. They move them in very quickly without regard for the chap's background etc. This could have been the case this time. Poor little mite will never be the same innocent she should be.

PP 30 years ago, newly divorced and with a young child, I was courted by a seemingly very nice man, who was a great hit with my daughter. After about ten days, the local 'bobby on the beat', approached me and asked me what I knew of this man's background. I cannot tell you what I felt when this policeman told me the man was recently released from prison for the murder of his young son, and was suspected of being involved in the death of another of his children. Fortunately, I had never left my daughter alone with this man and he disappeared from my life after I told him what I knew. Sadly of course, no friendly, concerned copper can do that today. THAT MAN has rights - as do these terrible perverts. I really despair, sometimes. Olde Crone

They should have no RIGHTS!! Once they have done something as awful as this they waver any rights they had(in my opinion) and thats the way the law should see it, a child is innocent, pure and untarnished, these vermin are just thatVERMIN!! what do you do with vermin???

I am always amazed in these cases that the parents dont shoot these people - I feel quite sure my husband would take the law into his own hands had any of ours been hurt or even murdered. They dont deserve to live in comfort, eating at our expense and no doubt sharing perverted ideas with others of their ilk in prison.

Trouble is it happens much too often. Make an example of these monsters and then maybe, just maybe they will think twice about ever doing it. Courts are just not strict enough with these individuals. Hope the poor little girl will get over it. I know this happened in Perth a few years ago but the little girl in question was only 9 months old. It doesn't bear even thinking about what they go thorough poor little mites. Regards Jackie
