I hate cigarette smoke. Hubby always used to go outside to smoke and of the friends I have who smoke all of them have always taken their ciggies outside. Don't really have a problem with it outside so long as it doesn't blow in my face or on my hair and clothes and I don't have to sit or stand next to someone reeking of fags. Daisy |

Hi Danger Mouse, can't think of anything more dangerous than denying a truck driver a ciggy when he's in charge of that massive lorry. Drivers have a hard enough time as it is on the roads without that!! |

I've signed!!! I am as entitled to light a ciggie if I want to, in an appropriate place, as and when I want to. I will endeavour not to blow my smoke over others, and assume that non-smokers will not approach me and accuse me of infecting their space. I will put the fag end in the appropriate bin (unlike 99% of Macdonald users!) I will not dream of entering a non-smoking section of a restaurant and lighting up a ciggie, nor will I light up in a restaurant generally even if seated in the smokers poxy corner! I will buy my fags, spend my own very hard earned dosh the way I want to - albeit on 200 a week! - I earn it - I spend it - how I want to, and those who profit by my tax can continue to do so - their children can be educated, benefits paid, hospitals staffed etc etc etc I will not wander off to the quack with every little ache and pain to find the surgery full of malingers with all sorts of ailments and none- smoking related illnesses. I will keep my cough to myself! Jacqui |

I'll sign even though I packed up last March. I still think people have the right to smoke in open places. Hilary. |

I am a nicotine addict. Has anyone ever tried to make smoking illegal? If it were against the law to buy them or bring them into the country or have them in your possession? I just wonder why this hasn't happened. Selena |
