I have looked at it, but not bought it. My ''essential'' reference books are Colin Rogers Family Tree Detective, and George Pelling's Beginning Your Family History. I have other family history books, can't remember their names offhand though. :-)

Husband bought this book for me a while ago. I have found it extremely comprehensive and detailed and a useful tool. But mostly if I want to know something I google! nell
