That's my favourite song of all time, Gwen. Beautiful song. I understand Scott's still singing it now, nearly 40 years later, in his act. x

I loved Big Yellow Taxi b side of Woodstock Joaney Mitchell Drove my Dad mad my brother drove him mad with Barbara Ann. Ah those were the days oh!! another one. Germaine They paved paradise And put up a parking lot With a pink hotel, a boutique and a swinging hot spot Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got Till it's gone They paved paradise And put up a parking lot They took all the trees And put them in a tree museum And they charged all the people A dollar and a half to see 'em Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got Till it's gone They paved paradise And they put up a parking lot Hey farmer farmer Put away that D.D.T. now Give me spots on my apples But leave me the birds and the bees Please! Dont it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got Till it's gone They paved paradise And put up a parking lot Late last night I heard the screen door slam And a big yellow taxi Took away my old man Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got Till it's gone They paved paradise And put up a parking lot

They’re really rockin boston In pittsburgh, p. a. Deep in the heart of texas And ’round the frisco bay All over st. louis Way down in new orleans All the cats wanna dance with Sweet little sixteen Sweet little sixteen She’s just got to have About half a million Framed autographs Her wallet’s filled with pictures She gets ’em one by one She gets so excited Watch her look at her run Oh mommy mommy Please may I go It’s such a sight to see Somebody steal the show Oh daddy daddy I beg of you Whisper to mommy It’s all right with you Cause they’ll be rockin on bandstand In philadelphia p.a. Deep in the heart of texas And ’round the frisco bay All over st. louis Way down in new orleans All the cats wanna dance with Sweet little sixteen Sweet little sixteen She’s got the grown up blues Tight dress and lipstick She’s sportin’ high heal shoes Oh, but tomorrow morning She’ll have to chang her trend And be sweet sixteen And back in class again Cause they’ll be rockin on bandstand In philadelphia p.a. Deep in the heart of texas and ’round the frisco bay All over st. louis way down in new orleans All the cats wanna dance with Sweet little sixteen

Fave hippie lyrics..... Autumn's child got a loophole round her finger Halo rings her head Cornhusk hair makes me linger A cat's stare meet s my dare A man's chair greets my stare Gonna be my wife she sang she said Gonna be my wife gonna spice my life she said Go back ten years ago sunbeams everywhere Go back ten years ago sunbeams fill the air My turn to be ignored I think lol.

Eddie Cochrane Uh-Look-ah there There she comes Here comes that girl again Wanted to date her since I don't know when But she don't notice me when I pass She goes with older guys from out of my class But that can't stop me from-ah thinkin' to myself She's sure fine lookin' man She's somethin' else Hey look-ah there Across the street There's a car made just for me To own that car would be a luxury But right now I can't afford the gas A brand new convertible is out of my class But that can't stop me from-ah thinkin' to myself That car's fine lookin' man It's somethin' else Hey look-ah here Just wait and see Workin' hard and savin' my dough I'll by that car that I've be wanting so Get me that girl and we'll go ridin' around The town will be all shocked with my white top down I'll keep right on and dreamin' and-ah thinkin' to myself When it all comes true, man Wow! That's somethin' else Look-ah here What's all this? Never thought I'd do this before But here I am ah-knockin' on her door My car's out front and it's all mine Just a '41 Ford not a '59 I got that girl and I'm-ah thinkin' to myself She's sure fine lookin' man Wow! She's somethin else

Saw it on tele later. Great song. I came upon a child of god He was walking along the road And I asked him, where are you going And this he told me I’m going on down to yasgur’s farm I’m going to join in a rock ’n’ roll band I’m going to camp out on the land I’m going to try an’ get my soul free We are stardust We are golden And we’ve got to get ourselves Back to the garden Then can I walk beside you I have come here to lose the smog And I feel to be a cog in something turning Well maybe it is just the time of year Or maybe it’s the time of man I don’t know who l am But you know life is for learning We are stardust We are golden And we’ve got to get ourselves Back to the garden By the time we got to woodstock We were half a million strong And everywhere there was song and celebration And I dreamed I saw the bombers Riding shotgun in the sky And they were turning into butterflies Above our nation We are stardust Billion year old carbon We are golden Caught in the devil’s bargain And we’ve got to get ourselves Back to the garden

59th Bridge St Song Feeling Groovy Slow down, you move too fast. You got to make the morning last. Just kicking down the cobble stones. Looking for fun and feelin' groovy. Hello lamppost, What cha knowing? I've come to watch your flowers growing. Ain't cha got no rhymes for me? Doot-in' doo-doo, Feelin' groovy. Got no deeds to do, No promises to keep. I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep. Let the morning time drop all its petals on me. Life, I love you, All is groovy.

This land is their land, It isn't our land, From the Wall Street office To the Cadillac car-land; From the plush apartments To the Hollywood starland, This land is not for you and me. If this is our land, You'd never know it, So take your bullsh** And kindly stow it, Let's get together And overthrow it, Then this land will be for you and me.
