How about The Beatles? When I'm sixty four When I get older losing my hair, Many years from now. Will you still be sending me a valentine Birthday greetings bottle of wine. If I’d been out till quarter to three Would you lock the door, Will you still need me, will you still feed me, When I’m sixty-four. You’ll be older too, And it you say the word, I could stay with you. I could be handy, mending a fuse When your lights have gone. You can knit a sweater by the fireside Sunday mornings go for a ride, Doing the garden, digging the weeds, Who could ask for more. Will you still need me, will you still feed me, When I’m sixty-four. Every summer we can rent a cottage, In the isle of wight, if it’s not too dear We shall scrimp and save Grandchildren on your knee Vera chuck & dave Send me a postcard, drop me a line, Stating point of view Indicate precisely what you mean to say Yours sincerely, wasting away Give me your answer, fill in a form Mine for evermore Will you still need me, will you still feed me, When I’m sixty-four. ;-)))))))))) |

Somebody has already suggested my one. I would have don't want to miss a thing by Aerosmith as well. We didn't have a first dance when we got married as we married in Las Vegas.. Did have an Elvis look a like serenading us with 'Burning Love'......he was rubbish. It was hysterical :0) |

I watched American Idol last night (sad I know!!) and Rod Stewart was on. He sang the song 'The way you look tonight' from his album 'The Great American Songbook' and I thought of this thread. It's such a beautiful song, both the tune and the lyrics: Some day, when I'm awfully low, When the world is cold, I will feel a glow just thinking of you And the way you look tonight. You're lovely, with your smile so warm And your cheeks so soft, There is nothing for me but to love you, And the way you look tonight. With each word your tenderness grows, Tearing my fears apart And that laugh that wrinkles your nose, Touches my foolish heart. Yes you're lovely, never, ever change Keep that breathless charm. Won't you please arrange it? 'Cause I love you Just the way you look tonight. With each word your tenderness grows, Tearing my fears apart And that laugh that wrinkles your nose, Touches my foolish heart. Yes you're lovely, never, ever change Keep that breathless charm. Won't you please arrange it? 'Cause I love you Just the way you look tonight. Just the way you look tonight. Darling Just the way you look tonight. joanne |
