Was 17 in April, met him in May, married in November - all 1969! Still together and happy - work together as well, that's the hard part! |

Like Linda and Mary, we met when I was 13 (told him I was 14 though!) he was 18. Married at 19 and still together after 35 years. And they said it wouldn't last! It's wonderful that there are so many long marriages on here! Allie x |

17 July 1976 We met at a party - but he gave another girl a lift home. I was staying at the party and we wondered much later why he didn't come back after giving the girl a lift! 4 March 1977 Met at the same venue, another party and got together. 4 Feb 1978 Moved into our first flat together. 15 October 1986 Bought our first house together. 17 August 1990 Got married - as you can see it was a whirlwind affair! |

Met at 16 years and one month, he was 20, moved in together when I was 18, married when I was 19, first born when I was 23, and just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversay We are best friends as well Joanne |

Hi McAnne We met when I was 17, he was 18, married when I was 19, and have now been married for 22 years, together for 24. Time flies when your having fun - most of the time!! It seems funny now, as my daughter is 17 and my eldest son is 20 and I can't for the life of me imagine any of them married. We had a grown up mortgage and everything when I was 19 - my daughter doesn't know the difference between the washing machine and the tumble dryer and I don't think my son even knows we have a kitchen!!
