Julie I once sent an e-mail of complaint to M&S to say that all of the 'larger' sized clothes were mostly available in boring black or white and that the lovely PER UNA range didnt cater for the more 'comfortable' lady. They sent me a reply saying that 'George' who designs the PER UNA range felt that his styles wouldnt be suitable for the older lady,,!!!! How did they know how old i was ???!!! So off i wrote,,,saying that lots of my friends under 40 wanted to wear the PER UNA rang but were unable to find anything to fit them,,,How come they think that if you're fat,,,,you're old..?? How i wish i had kept that e-mail...it smacks of age-ism.

Julie - I found with Primark AND Matalan - that the ones I liked didny go upto my size as per !!!!

Linda see if I hunch my shoulders bac the ways....stick my tum in and dinny breath out, they look enormous...well...ish :-(

Claire that's terrible. I'm a size 16/18 (don't know what size per una go up too) and I'm not 40 for a few years yet. It's not only ageist it's also sizeist (new word lol) Bigger women want to look fashionable and stylish too.

Anne sounds about right lol. All I wanted though was a basic black t-shirt or multi way type. The one I got though is nice :-)

I agree Julie and some of the larger sizes are so dreary,, who wants to wear black all the time,,? Im fancying a nice red dress,,off the shoulder,,,and some hookers shoes,,,lol

oh Claire I have the very dress and shoes, worn once, this week if you wanna wee shot....scarlet....size 10...and 5 in the shoes, slit up the back, but it has wee straps

Not a problem I've ever faced, being at the opposite end of the spectrum!! Always look wistfully at the Bravissimo shop though as the lingerie is so pretty. Store list online. Daisy
