I pleased the parcel arrived ok as when I went down the post van they had no computer working so I just had to pay for it and she said she could'nt give me a certificate of posting. I was worried it may get held up as I had forgotten to go down on other days and the van is only there for a little while.

Gill there's one little pressie in there for you and you have to open them together. I have written on it that the one with flowery paper she has to open with you so you can both be the same.

Now thats a lot of us getting posts lost.

Iv'e sent the goddess with the big boobies as they would say in Hallo Hallo. They just don't make programs as good as those anymore. I don't think there is anything I watch on telly except Gardeners World (which I hav'nt seen yet) and Victoria on a Sunday but I am getting fed up with that now too.

We are watching the last series of Game of Throwns as oh likes that but thee is only another 4 of those till it ends for good.

I am working on the programs of The Repair Shop and thats about all.

That happened to me yesterday Mel. Really annoying isn’t it?

As it was too gusty this morning we decided to make this a day for going in to Bridport. It is not a large town and the car park our side of it was full. However we knew where to park further on and being only 80p for two hours it is very reasonable. And, even better, if you spend ten pounds in Waitrose, which is by the car park you get the parking refunded. We did this so that was good. Before shopping though we had a coffee in a local pub that has re-invented itself in the daytime as a coffee shop. On one wall is a pattern of different ropes in stripes covering the whole wall. I don’t know if people are aware but Bridport was a rope making town. I did take a photo so eventually it will be on the blog.
We drove back to the cottage after visiting a little craft shop and buying a few things then we packed up lunch, a pasty OH had chosen and dressed crab for me which I made into a sandwich, plus coffee then drove two minutes down the lane to the car park overlooking the sea. Goodness the waves were high but not really dangerously so. It was very pleasant sitting reading the paper and looking out over the sea.
Back then to the cottage as it started to rain. (Which stopped and the sun came out after five mi utes). So OH could watch rugby on his IPad.

Afternoon all,

I have been sitting all day with tissues up my right "NOSE" lol lol I just can't stop it running. I am feeling very low in health, at the moment, what with dashing to the loo 7 times today, and continually blowing my SNOZZLE. I did manage a roll at lunchtime, but Ros didn't. She and Martine went to WYEVALE.(I should ban her from that place) they had a tea and toasted sandwich , so didn't want any lunch. She also left her handbag in Martines car, so had to drive to the other side of town to get it. Again more plants have appeared down the drive ,and across the path under the lounge window. She thinks I don't see her doing it. !!!!

Anne I have only completed two parts of my LIFE STORY. Whether I will do more, I haven't decided yet. It about time I made up my mind !!!
What a going's on with the neighbours. They need to be seen my a SHRINK to sort out their TEMPERS/MOODS, or whatever is the matter with them. lol lol. It's good that others don't get involved. I can't think of anyone getting their "KNICKERS" in a twist over waste mine. !!!

Hows the weather down in Dorset, ?? windy as the rest of the Country no doubt. It's so cod with it also. I still have the hating on and my Jumper.

Mel, you are so thoughtful, you always seem to remember to send things to Gill in time for Birthday and Christmas's. I hope Gill likes her little pressie. xxx

Mandy it seems you are catching my "lost post decease" It would be lovely to know how it happens. I don't seem to do anything, for it to happen.

Good afternoon all

It has turned cold here too, when I looked out of the front window this morning it looked like it had been snowing with all the lovely blossom blown off of the trees.

That was a very pretty little doll Mel, have you got anything else on the go?

Richard is in Manchester for the weekend as it's the 20th wedding anniversary of Keith & Judy two of the group of his friends, It is a surprise for them both, arranged by Judith's Mum and their son. Richard and the rest of their friends are all staying at the hotel where it is,

Paul has just dropped in so will try and get back later

Yes Anne I am making a sort of note pad come journal thing. It will have a fancy cover. I have made the note pad that slips inside. I am going to stick lots of bits of tissue on the cover andthen apint it and stick some corners on the front that laps over but I can't find anything in the way of nice paper to line it with yet. Then I have to make two pockets, one for the note pad and one on the inside of the opening cover to pop bits of paper etc in.

I have made a dragonfly to go on the front and some little dots in glue which will all be painted. Its only small and is supposed to look old.

We had a very heavy shower a while ago and the winds still blowing its head off. I had to bring the washing in as I did'nt want the wind to blow the rain on it.

Evening all,

I'll have another go and hope this doesn't just go .

Very windy here still and like Anne said the blossom looks just like snow blowing about ,we had a few showers first thing but it's been dry since lunch time .

Mel the doll is so pretty i think it would look lovely hanging outside and blowing in a gentle breeze .

Hope your feeling a bit better now Frank and it is only a 24 hour bug .

Well Ann what a to do you had in your close ,lets hope a few choice words from the police will calm things down , it's not nice when neighbours argue ,i wouldn't want to get drawn into it .

AnnG is sounds as if your next accommodation is close to the sea ,i would have loved sitting watching and listening to the rough sea munching on a sausage roll :-D

We've had a lazy afternoon here the fire is lit as it's quite chilly and i've just looked up and can see rain on the window again .
Lacey loved the little doll and i think she is going to call her " Lavender "
DIL thinks i should now do a little boy doll so that my next have a go .

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 27 Apr 2019 18:37

Well that one went through ok .

I bet Sandra is getting excited and carn't wait until the morning to open her pressies ,the tray chocolate cake will be nice ,she thought she would have a change this year did she or doesn't she know what cake she has ?

I expect Jane is enjoying having Hannah and Gareth for the weekend ,there will be lots of baby talk i'm sure :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 27 Apr 2019 18:37

Mandy I do hope Lacey doesn’t shorten Lavender’s name!

Yes we can walk out of the door and be down on the beach in under five minutes.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 27 Apr 2019 18:40

LOL AnnG i never thought of that :-D

Oh lovely AnnG are you sleeping well with all that sea air ,i love it when it's rough and you walk by the sea ,you lick your lips and can taste the salt from the sea .

Jane

Jane Report 27 Apr 2019 18:48

Afternoon Everyone
Crikey Ann, what a going on in your close :-0 :-0. I wonder if it might have been on your local news what with a gun being invoved and armed police !!!!!. What shocking behaviour from those concerened . It seems like someones bumps need to be felt there.Tying a note around a brick and chucking in on the lawn !!!.He sounds like he has lost the plot.I can see you moving out before you really want to if this kind of behaviour carries on.

Frank, you do sound poorly today.I am pleased that you got home first before becoming ill. It is better to be ill at home rather than when away, especially when it is a matter of having to get to the loo in a hurry. I hope that by tomorrow you will be feeling a lot better.

AnnG .I bet the waves were quite spectacular to see today.Fingers crossed there were no crazy people trying ot surf or anything.

Gill, how sad the weather was too bad for you to be able to take Sandra out for a birthday treat. It sounds like you have had far worse weather than us here. WE have had the strong winds but really hardly any rain. Nothing worth speaking about anyway.
I am sure she will be excited in the morning to see all her cards and presents :-D

It was just James and Gareth that went Clay Pigeon Shooting this morning.Hannah tried ot get Gareth added in but they were totally booked out .So Chris decided that it might just be nice for just James and Gareth to go (lads together).James will book anothe time for him and his Dad. They did enjoy it and James said he is quite keen to do it more often. Hannah saw her friends for a while and then this afternoon H,G and James went for a long walk . They all came back with rosy cheeks :-D

Mel I love your 'Madonna' with the big boobies :-D :-D. Can I commision one please :-D

Anne I mentioned the Dun Cow as that is where Hannah used to go sometimes when she worked at the nearby mens prison.
That will be a great surprise party for Richards friends Anne :-D. Hope Richard has a great weekend :-D

It has suddnely got a bit dark . Thomas has come in.I wonder if we might actually have rain coming now. The garden will have its tongue hanging out with dehydration .Yes I can see some rain on the window. It could be a 5 minute wonder.

Dinner needs to be attended to. All the others are watching the film Eddie the Eagle :-S

Jane

Jane Report 27 Apr 2019 19:40

Both you Mandy and AnnG sneaked in there :-D Glad Lacey loved her new doll. Mmm Lavender sounds a good name but not Lav LOL :-D
Ann your cottage sounds in a great position , just a few minutes stroll to the sea. Have you stayed in this one before? You mentioned Waitrose in Bridport earlier. I am sure I went to that Waitrose when we stayed down that way. We were surprised to actually see a Waitrose back then.

Well the rain came to nothing :-S and Thomas has gone out again :-|. It is still really windy.

Gillx

Gillx Report 27 Apr 2019 21:08

I did laugh at your comment on shortening Lavenders name AnnG :-D :-D

That was nice of Chris to let Gareth go in his place Jane, it sounds like he had a nice time out with James We've had rain all day and it's really heavy and the wind has blown all the leaves everywhere, it hasn't stopped all day. Sandra was a bit disappointed we couldn't go out today, but is looking forward to her treat out to Chester Zoo once the weather improves and it's drier.

A present for me Mel, thank you. Sandra is so excited for tomorrow, it's like Christmas Eve here, she has a big bag of presents and cards to open and can't wait. I've put your present in the bag now it's dried out. It was only damp so didn't take long.

Sandra chose her own cake Mandy, it's quite a large one so will last quite a while.

So sorry to see you're still not feeling well Frank, maybe an early night will help. I do hope you feel better tomorrow. It's not nice when you feel under the weather.

How are you feeling Anne? I hope you are on the mend now.

Hope you feel better soon zfrank, sounds like you have a chill. Didn’t you say that Jan had a cough when you were in Paignton?

Mandy yes I love that salt taste on your lips too. The sea was rough and the waves high but didn’t seem abnormally so, in fact the waves were higher and the wind stronger when we were down at Lee on Solent in Hampshire in March.

Jane yes we have stayed here once a year except for one year since 2010. It is a great place for us as we can sit in the car and watch the sea or walk down and walk along the cliff path if we feel energetic.
