Night Night all.I am getting off early as I know I will wake up when Hannah goes off at 1.30 am on her hols. She is not the quietest, and the tap in the bathroom makes a real racket which is just behind my head on the other side of the wall.I will probably have trouble getting back off to sleep again so will end up reading !

Morning to you all,

I was in bed by 12.30 last night. Awake and up 6.30am. Had my Tea. will get something to eat when Ros gets up.
Sorry I missed baby's birthday yesterday. Belated Happy Birthday.
Trust Hannah got off allright Jane. Be carful with the tap behind your head, you might get. "WATER ON THE BRAIN".

Glad you got loads of requests for your Photo CATIEL. looking like you do I can understand it !!!! Can we forward things to your Email address. I get loads of jokes that I could share, as I do with all the others. Let me know.

Very quite morning here , no breeze at all. If it's dry enough, I must get the lawns cut, they have grown so much in a week.
Will do a roast lamb joint for tonight, I starved myself yesterday, only had a bit of PASTA last night. Not like me.

Catiel. Is your name CATIE or CATIEL ?????

Morning Frank and all,

Cloudy here today but dry at the moment.

I went off to bed earlier last night as I had'nt felt that good yesterday and did'nt eat much at all last night.

I do hope David and Ralph are ok as we have'nt heard from David for a while now.

Frank as I read Jane's post about the tap being behind her head I thought the same as you!!

Hope Hannah has a lovely rest as I think she deserves it.

Fiona Report 9 Sep 2010 10:02

Morning all
Weather lovely,
Sofia had a great birthday and was a little bewildered why we were making such a lot of fuss, she was not so sure about the balloons SIL had put up, got a few frights during the evening when they kept popping with the heat it had been a very warm day and we had opened up the windows for some fresh air,
daughter & SIL live in a small semi and their living room is not very big and when there is more than 4/5 people it gets very warm. Sofia came round a bit later on and decided it was fun to hit the balloons . It was lovely to see SIL mum & gran from Italy, especially gran as there was some concern over her health about flying but she was very happy to be here,
Sofia thought it was fun to go from one gran to the other and continually wanted cuddles from us all, was puzzled when her other gran spoke to her , I think it will be a bit confussing at first as which lanuage to talk. It will be interesting to hear which one she chooses.

She got a lot of presents, SIL mum had brought over new shoes , a winters coat , and plans to go to the toy shop today to buy something else.
Not enough room in the suitcase to bring anything else she said,
Clothes , children's Dvd's and OH & I got her the baby activity walker she loved that , also some relatives sent money.
We will be going up to daughters for Italian sunday dinner so we will probably be having more fun then.

Thanks for all your birthday wishes.
oops!!! forgot to mention Daughter no 1 got the part time job in Sain*bu*s supermarket so thankfully we will not be trudging to the job centre any more.

Morning Fiona and everyone.

Fiona, what a lovely !st Birthday for Sophia. She's a very cherished little girl and wonderful that so many of her family could be there to share her special day. Bless her.
Glad your daughter has found a job. You will all be able to settle into a new routine now.

Frank.... It's Catie ( short for Catherine). Of course you can use my email address - will be lovely to hear from you. Glad you are feeling a lot better. Now you are.... don't overdo it lol

Poor old Mel...... Hope you feel a bit better today.

It's a Glorious day here. I've just pegged out Mark's baby clothes. Ahhh they do look sweet.... So tiny lol. The midwife has been and is pleased with his progress. I'm pleased to report that he was only awake for 1 hour last night. I won't hold my breathe though lol

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Thanks for the nice words ladies , yes Sofia had a great time.
Catie, my daughter no 2 has the same name as you spelt almost the same way but with a K not a C , she gets called Kat from friends.
glad baby Mark was not up for to long during the night.
I loved smelling Sofia's baby clothes when they were tiny as they had her smell on them all sweet and powdery(sp) that new baby smell, also daughter rinsed them in fabric conditioner and the smell would linger on my clothes, I liked it so much I changed my fabric conditioner to the same one so I always think of her when I put my clothes on. (oh I am going real soppy).

Jane sorry your not feeling well, have a good rest on the settee again, hope you get better soon.

well I need to get sorted out off to town to pick up OH parcel from the post office he is always buying new bits for his bike.

I'm done for the day. Trimmed all edges to lawns and cut them. They had grown a lot in a week. I also put in loads more Daffs, Snow drops, miniture iris's, siberian squill.

Now doing Roast Beef, peas carrots, Runners, Broad beans, Cauli. Cheese sauce. Might put a Yorkshire round the meat. Might be too much for us.

Fiona, Am I classed as a lady now ????

Mel, great minds think alike !!

Catie, If you get too many jokes from me, you will have to say so.Nobody complains, but not sure what type you like.

Frank...... I'm SHOCKED lol..... Thanks for all your emails. I've read a couple of the jokes and they did make me laugh. Those pics were amazing weren't they. I really liked the one of the duck lol
My OH will love the pharmacology joke - being a pharmacologist lol
I will have a read of the rest a little later.

Jane... Hope you start to feel better soon.

My BIL is really in a bad way today. The midwife obviously had a word with his GP, who called a short time ago. He's going to arrange a meeting for my BIL, with a chap who has been through the same thing. The GP asked me how long I was able to stay - which concerned me a bit. Anyway, I will stay for how long it takes. I think he will pick up a bit once the funeral has taken place.... I know he's dreading it and worries that he won't be able to keep it together. I've said that we are all there to help him. At the moment however, he's shut us all out. Expect it's his way of coping with the situation. Needs time to be quiet and to come to terms with everything. Mark is really Content today..... It's Wonderful lol

Fiona.... I agree.... The smell of a new baby is lovely. I said to the twins that Mark smelt 'Good Enough To Eat'. You should have seen their faces lol. I then had to explain what I meant lol

Hi All, I've been so busy lately, haven't had time to come on the thread. Sorry |I missed Sofia's birthday, a year gone already !!!! it only seems a short time ago you were excited about being a gran Fiona.

What with the visits to the vet with Alfie, all the ironing, to pay the vet's bills !!!! and the garden at son's house I haven't had time for anything else but am away this weekend with daughter and her partner to the cottage in Kent, cat free and gardening free. Alfie is going to stay with son and his partner and their three cats. Don't know what they'll make of him, probably put him in his place, he may come back a bit more subdued.

Hope you're feeling better Jane.

Thanks for the photo Ann, of in-laws wedding anniversary. What else have I missed?

Jane Report 9 Sep 2010 15:42

Catie,it is probably just beginning to hit your BIL,all that has happened ,loosing his wife and having a newborn and the twins to now be Mum and Dad to.He probably can't imagine how on earth he is going to cope with everything.Plus the worry of the funeral. He knows you will all be there for him even though he may not be communicating right now.
Hopefully Mark will stay contented lol.I remember thinking 'This is bliss' when it was all peaceful, and had a bit of time to clear my head!!,and have a little me time.
I did warn you about Franks Jokes !!!!!!!!!

Frank ,are you still getting runners?I think I have just picked about 3lb.I can't get fed up with them. Will be doing them with onion, bacon and oregano again tonight as I think that will be nice with steak.

Yes I agree, there is something about a babies smell, also their chubby little arms, legs, and BUMS. I would always bite Lewis's bum after he came our of the bath. smelling so fresh and clean. My DIL granddaughter is almost two now, but as a baby I loved to get hold of her for a cuddle. No more babies around now, so I have to do without.

Catie, So pleased you liked the Jokes. They were some I picked out. There ARE DOZENS MORE. Which I will look though over the coming weeks, and forward on the best of the bunch. Then as I receive them from all over the place, you will be on my posting list.

Jane is your tummy any better today. You have to do the same as me don't you. I can't have anything without you wanting the same. !!! Picked a few more beans today for dinner tonight. They are coming to the end now. But I was picking before you all, wasn't I.
